Close enough. Mom is Mexican/Chicano/Latino/Brown (whatever you want to call it ). Dad is white/Caucasian.
IM FROM Brasil...my dads said of the family(great great grandparents) comes from italy and my moms (great great grandparents) from portugal...so what would you classify me as? I know you guess will say hispanic...but what does hispanic mean? does it have something to do with speaking spanish? because in brasil we speak portuguese....In brasil im considered moreno...but here i guess latino... insight??
What does "-American" have to do with race, and why are every option except Caucasian and Hispanic appended with it?
I played viola in junior high orchestra. My older brother played the bass, but right before sixth grade my father traded the Dodge Custom Van for a Honda Civic. And last summer, when I traded my Jeep in for a Cadillac, all my co-workers jokingly said I was going to get rims and spinners, for whatever reason. I went to three high schools, and and on my first day at the first two, just about every person I met, even principals and teachers, wanted to know if I was going to try out for the football or basketball team.
People tell me I'm white, but I don't really know because I don't see race. If I met any of you I wouldn't know what race you were even if you looked, say, like an Asian.
