What players would you consider trading Sengun for?

I wouldn’t touch LaMelo Ball with a 10-foot pole because he’s rarely available and when he plays, it’s too much style, not enough substance. Charlotte can keep him. Giannis, Edwards, Halliburton and Mobley are no brainers. I don’t think Maxey or Banchero are better, though I think Paolo and Sengun are close as players.

 

Sengun's box score numbers don't exactly jump off the page, but his advanced numbers are telling a different story.

Advanced BPM has done a stellar job in predicting league MVP. Sengun is 12th.

Keeping in my mind most players don't hit their peak until about age 26....I'd rather hold on to him. He makes some stupid mistakes, but for all intents and purposes I still refer to people that young as "kids". I'd rather keep him.

Besides, IMO it is more special to win championships with a core of players you drafted and/or developed.

Myles Turner is below average rebounder, especially for center. Amen averages more boards (8 vs 6). And trading away 2 of your 3 best rebounders on a Rockets team that depends on REB for success is losing basketball.

 

Ideally with better spacing we wouldn’t have to rely on put backs so much. Eason and Adams on the bench also help quite a bit when you need rebounding for certain matchups.

 

You normally tweak a system this late in season not completely overhaul it. Moving a few spots higher in 3P% is not the equivalent of being dominant on the glass. Rockets are #1 in OREB + total REB right now.

 

The Luka trade has opened Pandora box in hypotheticals...lol ... But everyone but Lamelo is my vote

Banchero, Giannis, Mobley, Ant, Chet, Haliburton without thinking too much. But I don’t want anything to do with Lamelo Ball that guy is not a winner in my opinion.

 

I voted Banchero but no way Orlando does that

 

Lonzo Ball did say his BBB shoes is the cause of his foot and knee injuries. Most likely LaMelo Ball wearing BBB shoes also is the reason for his injuries as well.

 

Paolo Banchero is going to be injury prone also

Paolo Banchero Sweats so much during the game and loses 7 pounds a game. His health is a disaster. Tore his chest from his workout.

Reed Sheppard I think can be a Star 2 seasons from now. If there is a Great offensive Coach with him to teach.

Main issue is Ime Udoka offense issues. Is he the right Coach for this offense.

Mike D'Antoni is available, can he be a Assistant Coach.
