It's not that I miss watching a particular player.....for me, the thing I miss the most is the atmosphere that surrounded the NBA in the 90s. The league had personality, it had persona. Players weren't afraid to show emotion, to show that they DID in fact hate the opponent, and they weren't afraid to show how tough they actually were. Basketball in the 90s wasn't a popularity contest, and it certainly wasn't about who could tweet the most, or get the most friends on Facebook. It was about playing your heart out, and leaving everything on the court. Every team had personality, from the Reggie Millers and John Starks of the world, to the Hakeem Olajuwons and Gary Paytons. The Rockets SERIOUSLY HATED the Jazz....the Pacers SERIOUSLY HATED the Knicks. These were not "Made for TV" rivalries.....they were real, and they were intense. Even the intro music had character! Nowadays, we have players joining up with each other to make life easier on themselves, we have the Pussycat Dolls playing our intro music, and we have guys tweeting about how they can't wait to cop the new Alicia Keys album not 15 minutes after a Game 7 loss. I guess you can say that I simply miss the NBA not being soft.

The obvious choices like Dream, I'm going to go with Iverson. Ultimately, he was probably the most important NBA player between Jordan and Lebron, and when you look back on him, I really can't help but respect his craziness and drive. It destroyed him, which makes it all the more bitter, and I do sort of view him as a tragic hero.
Me too... Honestly, how badly would he dominate now if he were healthy? Not too many centers that could stop him.
Jordan. The Rockets Bulls regular season games were the highest quality basketball games I've ever seen. The Rockets lost more than they won during the Jordan championship years, but that was due more to inconsistency than anything else. When both teams were on top of their games, it was a beautiful sight to see. And the Rockets would win . Damn the Jazz and Sonics for preventing what could have been the greatest championship series ever, even better than all those Celtics Lakers matchups.
