Banchero fits well on Magic, they really need shot creators. Lurking on their fan base, they seem to want Jabari too.

Banchero fits well in Portland. They have a center already in Nurk. Banchero can be their scoring big, since we know they abandon the combo scoring guards with CJ.

Fit wise, Ivey as a scoring guard fits well with Cade. Pistons have a bunch of bigs already. 6'11" (Bagley / Garza / Olynyk) and 6'8" (Stewart and Jerami Grant). They might also take Jabari if they get the chance, since Ivey is considered a #4/#5 pick.

I lean Jabari and Chet, but if we get the 3rd pick, I would be fine with Banchero (then with the nets pick get a defensive guy).

I'd be mucho disappointed if Rockets get the 4th or 5th.

If Banchero is 3rd, and that pick owner is willing to budge, I'm even OK with Stone to trade up to get him.

...There can be promising guys in the #4-#10. But the top 3 is relatively harder for Rockets org to mess up.

You know those stats are more team than individual and you know those stats are from playing in a lesser con
Is he actually an elite defender?

I know it seems like I keep harping on this, but I don't understand why people keep saying this the only thing he did elite defensively if shot block, and he was practically a center fielder.

That elite word is being thrown around way too much.

The only thing any of these guys are elite at is Smith with his shooting.

    Bad analysis.

Holmgren is an outside-in player on offense which is exact opposite of Sengun.

If anyone will compete for paint touches with Sengun, it's Banchero, not Chet.

If Rockets ran the Vipers version of 5 out, it would be perfect for Holmgren because it emphasizes the transition game and early offense which are Chet's strengths.

In half court, Chet would be on the corner to shoot 3ball or attack aggressive closeouts, which he already does at high level.

Or screen and roll in PNR as lob threat or playmaker as short roller.

Again, all things that Chet already excels at doing.

Probably pretty accurate. I like the take on this article, and predications. I see us going after Chet. Yet everyone wants Jabari Smith. If the rockets get the #1 its probably Smith. Going with Banchero because i seen the film and he is a guy that would be the best big body guy next to Green imo. Yet of course the rockets like chet because of his 3 point range.

25 days remaining until we know the pick #. It's going to get real tense around here when we get to day 2. Everyone will be biting their nails.

chet is absolutely an elite defender.

just stop already. we get that you hate chet and jabari. but you don't need to make sure to post it on every rockets draft related thread every damn day...

I think chet, pablo, and smith all have great defense and 3pt range. So its all pretty hard choice. All 3 are top 1 picks.
Rockets might not go with Banchero because he likes to run the ball up.

If the Rockets get a top 3 pick they really can't lose. Any of Chet, Paolo, and Jabari is a win IMO. However if they get the 1st pick then there is going to be an enormous amount of pressure on Stone and Company.

I think what you have to really do is look at the top guys and see what they are already good at and from their weaknesses see what they can REASONABLY improve on.

At this point we all know the strengths of each top projected pick so I don't wanna beat a dead horse but if you take a look at the weaknesses, who has the biggest shot of turning their weakness around?

Is Jabari going to work on his handle and moves? Will he be a guy you can give the ball to and make a big time play? Or will he continue as a knock down 3 point shooter and Elite D guy?

Will Chet improve on his body and frame? Will he put in the work and gain the size needed in the NBA? If not.... It would be naive to think he could dominate in a way top picks should.

Will Paolo work on his 3 ball and defensive effort? He's shown flashes on defense as being lockdown, but ultimately with him it will come down to effort.

Personally when you look at these 3 guys and ask these questions I think Paolo has the biggest shot of turning his weaknesses around. He has the tools for solid defense, it will just take coaching and effort.

I think Paolo is the choice but like I said it will not be an easy clear cut choice for the Rockets or any team in the Lottery. Any of these guys at worst will be a solid rotation player for any team. We'll just have to see what happens.

Chet is a elite defender because you say so?

What has he done elite on the perrimeter against NBA level talent?

Shot blocking does not make one elite, its the reason KAT is a terrible defender even though he gets a lot of blocks or that Gobbert is DPOY but unplayable in the post season.

How is questioning someones ability hating.

    GTFO with that bullshit.

lol... and what now? are you going to tell me to go back and find the posts that showed that you were hating? and then once i do, are you just going to beat around the bush like you always do?

quit playing like you're hard to get.

When the numbers say you’re wrong, what makes you right?
He is far more than a shot blocker. Nothing backs up what you’re saying at all.

Then you bring in conference, when WCC isn’t even a bad conference and the ACC was down this year.

this idiot jiggyfly thinks he's some draft nut talking like some expert. and yet when he hates on chet and jabari, and then posters come in and post data and vids showing how he's clearly wrong, he then admits he gets it now... but then surprise!! the very next day he goes on about asking the same damn questions lined with obvious hate for chet and jabari.

this fool would save us all from his idiocy if he just went on youtube and looked up mike schmitz or kevin o'connor vids profiling the draft prospects if he's too lazy to actually watch the game film of the players.

I think it's more to do with his below average 3P% and lack of effort/low IQ on defense.

If he was above average in any ONE of these areas, Banchero would be unanimous #1.

How is it any different from Chet/Jabari/Ivey guys doing the same to Paolo?? Those analysts you name drop don’t sht on Paolo like the “experts” here do. Put on your big boy pants and learn how to deal with differing opinions.

Has anyone actually **** on Paolo? I don’t think I’ve seen anyone say he’s bad. He’s clearly the 3rd/4th best guy in this draft and projects to be a good offensive player.

No one should be comparing him to Lebron though

    This is a good article.

    @jiggyfly should read thoroughly.

    Also watch this vid.

Holmgren elite defense is not just rim protection.

Holmgren efficient offense is not just dunks and 3P.
