Highest ceiling is clearly chet. I'm not sure he's got the highest floor of the big 4.

I'm don't think this pick has to "fit" around sengun and KPJ. I think those guys will have to fit around whoever we draft here, or have to move on.

if the only player on the roster was Jalen, how would you rank the top 4-5 guys in this draft?

And in a "down year" the ACC still dominated the tourney. Big 12 did well, Big 10 for the most part performed as expected.

    All other conferences underperformed

If we have the #1 pick, then Chet.

If not, then we should be aiming for Jabari Smith. I can't be the only one who's sick of watching terrible interior defense so we need to address that.

This is true, but at least me and D-rock heave respect for one another and don't let are disagreements spill over.

    Take note people.

That's not my stance at all but are you really being serious that stats can be compared straight up and context and circumstances don't matter?

You're ignoring the point, you are refusing any sort of production comparison at all.

If no comparison how do you support the player you favor over another?

Especially if you ignore any of the actual stats, advanced or otherwise.

You value your own eye test that highly?

    Smith or Banchero.

Scared of Chet getting injured but saying that he’ll probably become the GOAT :D

If we pick 1st or 2nd, Chet should be the target. He has the most upside. After Chet, Jabari, Banchero, Sharp, and Ivey should be the target in that order.

I'd be happy with Ivey at 5. Besides for Davis and Dieng (who I'm not too familiar with), the 13 guys I like go 1-15. That mock would be a nightmare if the Rockets didn't trade up to me.

If the draft order occurred like how KOC laid it out, who do you think Houston could trade with? I think maybe try to move some of our players and the 17 for the Knicks' 11 or OKC's 12?

I would say it would likely be very tough putting myself in other teams' shoes. Typically, when I see teams trade down, it is mostly to get a guy they view as similar talent while pocketing a pick or player for their trouble. I was thinking Charlotte at 13 or 15 previously, but if Dyson and Eason are there respectively, I'd just stay there if I was them as I think there is a big drop off after Eason. Not to say there won't be players selected after Eason that aren't good to great NBA players. I just think it is harder for teams to know who exactly those players will be.

Edit: I'm hoping there are at least a couple of bigman and/or PG reaches to push one of my 13 to the 17th pick.

I'm always amused to see people fight so hard over who we should draft. I just can't have that strong of an opinion because I'm not a professional scout. To me, it seems like the arguments in a nutshell are:

Chet. Best defensive player with the highest ceiling.

Paolo. Most polished offensive game. Best NBA body.

Jabari: Best shooter. Youngest of the three. He's a full year younger than Chet and about six months younger than Paolo.

I lean Chet, but I'd defer to the Rockets organization. They have a much better record of evaluating talent than I do. After all, we're talking about the team that drafted Isaiah Hartenstein and Josh Christopher. I'll just root for whoever they pick to reach their potential.

How you feel about Isaiah popping the question about a week ago to his gf? She's a baddie.

Hope Stone and TF go with popular choice again.

It's also the analytics choice as well.

    Easily.

Mark my words, Chet is going to be a beast! If they have the option to pick him and they pass on him, they'll regret it for eternity.

I'm going with Chet again. I have dropped Jabari to two. Chet needs to get stronger. I know he can't get big.
