Sharpstown. I don't know the name of the particular cluster of houses, just that it was "owned" by the southwest Cholos.
All over Spring Branch I lived in a little neighborhood behind a deaf church for most of my childhood.
3RD WARD!!! 3RD WARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's 3rd Ward hood...not 3rd Ward money. Oh, and the Westbury area.
Inwood Forest next to Acres Homes. Big Ike for one year in the early '90's, then off to military school.
I grew up in Spring Branch. I went to Spring Woods 6th - 8th. I went to Northbrook for 2 years and the Woods for 2 years.
I used to go to church in that area (off Jensen) and a lot of our members lost their houses because of 59 expansion. Seems like that took forever to complete.
Same here. Inwood North. It's right next to Eisenhower but zoned to Klein Forest. My parents still live there so the house is 30 years old.
Southeast Houston, between Park Place Blvd. and what became Gulfgate, off Reveille. I used to know the area for miles around like the back of my hand. Growing up, I did all kinds of crazy stuff my parents never found out about and my own kids would never dream of doing. It was a good place to be a kid.
