Only in New York and San Francisco would you have a place that is both a dump and pricey..

The belgian bars/restaus here are not my favorites. Resto is way too trendy, and hence wildy overcrowded, underserviced and overpriced (though stupidly they undercharge for St. Bernardus Dubbel, one of the best beers they have, at just 8$ a bottle)....Markt is ok but overpriced, the Belgian Room lacks ambience.....Have never been to Cafe de Bruxelles but heard the same....it's easier just to fly to Brussels for a long weekend.

never been in there, but walk by it all the time. was in the columbus circle whole foods today and they have an ok selection, as does pioneer on columbus and 74th.

but if you're willing to go american, we could grab a couple of bottles of some ommegang variant and watch a rockets game on my big 46", next time they're on ESPN or TNT HD.
