Oregon? Pfft I thought I was the only one. I'm not any of the guys you mentioned but I am "old school " and live in Portland. Group tickets to a game in Portland?!?

I hear you about getting old. I retired from Judo competition a few years ago but I still spar every now and then. That said I have a friend who is almost 70 and he still does Judo, even routinely chokes out guys who are about a third of his age.

Wasn't there a poster who actually did want to fight you and suggested doing it outside of Live bar after a Rockets' game?

 

Well, the easy answer would be Voodoo Pope, except, it's not a stretch since we've been drinkin' together for 20 years, and then there's the fact that he's not a beer kinda guy... so... won't count that.

Also I have had a beer with someone from Clutchfans, but I forget his moniker, I call him 6'LoneStar.

I'll go out on a limb in the spirit of the thread, and say that I'd pick one of you CedarPark/Travis folks, as I recently got a place in that area (just outside of CP). I'm constantly surprised by how many on this board live in that area.

 

Ya, it would be fun to listen to DD in person.

 

Just listen to 1560 whenever Clutch is on. He calls in every time.

LOL - I am much more calm in person....love talking Rockets...and I started calling in when Clutch was first on because it seemed they weren't getting any calls on Sunday morning.

I used to be in Radio/Sportscasting...and I enjoyed talking to Clutch, Nuno, Raheel et all...so I keep calling in...

Hopefully they don't mind.

We definitely need to get a group together for a game next season. Now that we have no basketball team in Seattle, Red and I will have to make the trip down to Portland to catch the Rockets.

Sounds good. We make it down to Portland often enough, but my wife and I keep meaning to get down to Southern Oregon. There's all the gorgeous scenery, and we want to go to Ashland during the Shakespeare festival.

I have to say I'd be curious to have a beer with DaDakota or FattyFatBastard just to meet the people behind the personalities. Also the ladies: GlassHalfFull, FinalsBound, and Lady Di. RC Cola, Lil Pun, DrexlerFan22, IROC it, and Rocket2K would also be on my list.

I've been meaning to get my liver in shape, and making this list feels like a good start.

 

I would say Da Dakota, but I would be scared it would be a 20 min lecture on why Kirk Hinrich makes the Rockets contenders. Krosyt (however its spelled) is super great guy, and Cori ( I cant think of his cf name) is also a really cool guy in person. Mlwoo has a gay roomate, so that scares me. Rocketman111 is decent, but he dont drink much and he could easily turn into the drunk guy passing hugs around, telling everyone he loves them....lightweight. Thats all I got to say about that.

 

I only wish yall were a mere hour and a half away... I'd do it every weekend!
