Thanks for posting that interview. A live-action CGI could be really cool, imo, if done right by someone who is a G1 Trans-fan.

One of the things I loved the most about Transformers is that it was remotely believable (as a kid, anyway) in that it took place in present-day and used ordinary, every-day vehicles. After that movie came out, it went from present-day stuff that people could relate to, to a typical futuristic sci-fi that didn't have that element of realism found in G1.

And even if they insisted on killing off everyone, they could have at least made it so that the movie lead up to a climactic final battle where everybody died. I remember feeling cheated out of seeing a movie about Transformers when everybody died at the beginning. The movie was about a bunch of characters that no one knew anything about at the time!

Robotech is the shiznit. I like listening to the Zentraedi talk, it sounded like they recorded the dialogue two or three times and mixed it. My friend has been collecting those Macross Box sets. I watched the DVDs for Robotech and it always made me laugh when the Menu came up because the Zentraedi leader would always say that line "but why are they using such primitive weapons wubwubwubwub." That's not really what he says, but it sounds like it. That chick Minmay was annoying.

If they could make a Gundam movie, I'd be camping in line like a Star Wars geek. Not really, but I would be excited. I only really like the original Mobile Suit Gundam and the 8th MS Team. 8th MS Team would probably work best for a movie since they try to make show how a real military would use Mobile Suits.

If we're talking about Japenese stuff, I read at one of the movie news sites I visit that a live action Akira is being developed. Dragon Ball Z, which I hate, is also being made into a movie. If I had my way though, I'd like to see a Cowboy Bebop movie. Maybe if the animated movie does well in the US, it could become a posibility.

I think it got dropped, maybe it comes on during Toonami. I'm usually in class during that block, so I wouldn't know.

If anybody was a fan of the Family Guy, that's on Adult Swim 5 nights a week, it comes on after Futurama.

A live action Akira would be incredible, it is by far the greatest Japanamation flick ever.

I wouldn't say it was horrible...It probably even has a chance of winning the award for best original screenplay.

Back when Corona's Coming Attractions site kicked butt, I believe I read that this was actively being made, or written, or something...and I believe a deal was being made for all the Chronicles of Narnia books to be movies, but it would start with Lion, Whitch and the Wardrobe (the first book would be the second movie, then they other's would fall into place in correct order). they have to put LWW first because that's the one that everyone has heard of because of grade school (even the Voyage of the Dawn Treader was the best book in the series IMHO).

    Batman: The Dark Knight Returns

Never got all the Year One hoopla (don't get me wrong, it's a good read, I just think that DKR would translate better to the big screen). Batman vs. Superman is also in the works though, right? I don't keep up with DC projects. :p

This one had a set-back of some sort. Either the director or producer or another one of the big-wigs left to do another project.
