Harden's selflessness has been incredibly overstated but nonetheless his ego is not anywhere near the same stratosphere as Kobe's. Kobe was audacious enough to challenge Shaq, one of the most dominant centres and players of all-time who was the alpha dog in the first two championship runs and Kobe's senior during their tenure together. Harden has always given deference to Westbrook and Durant while in OKC, albeit not without some growing discord. There's a difference between the two.

Do you have a source on this? As far as Im aware Harden came off the bench willingly. Bill Simmons reported that Harden was willing to take less money if OKC promised a trade kicker, which OKC denied. To add to that, OKC gave Harden a mere hour to decide. So I find it highly dubious that there was discord unless you have source on this.
