McGrady has always been a good soldier and he will run the offense correctly. The reason he hasn't cut and he doesn't run around like the forwards do is because he is playing the 2 guard. Just watch how much Luther Head camps at the 3 point line and works of pick and rolls and you will see Tracy doing the same amount of movement without the ball.

Tracy ran alot of plays off of double screens last season running his bottom off.

I think it is more on the rest of the team to keep shooting and playing with confidence when he returns. The problem we've had is players standing around watching TMac.

If players will continue to execute and make shots TMac will find them.

TMac does have to realize that he doesn't have to carry the entire load when other players struggle- he does have to let them keep playing with confidence.

I think it might be nice to see him start for Battier and leave Luther in the starting lineup?

    Just a thought.

    Also good points.

Luther has played well in the last two games but I still don't have confidence in him as a starter.

I do like the idea of McGrady moving to SF and reducing Battier's minutes if we had a bigger and better option at the 2.

Heck, T-Mac did that all this year before getting hurt. Anyone remember all those easy Dunks he got earlier in the season??

    Remember any last year??

I actually think Luther is better off the ball than McGrady in two areas. He runs down the court hard after the Rockets get a defensive rebound . It doesn't necessarily result in a fastbreak basket all the time, but when you run hard there's more opportunity to get baskets without the defense totally set. I think he's also better at making basket cuts.

No No NO - it's what his team mates do when t-mac doesn't have the ball!

Before they would just try to get him the ball because they didn't have confidence in themselves, this is what he was complaining about.

So opposing teams would just focus on him. Now, when he doesn't have the ball, he's just another guy on the team. But his teammates don't have to try to put the ball in his hands.

And now they know what to do when the ball IS in his hands.

It's a team game, tmac is just one piece of the puzzle.

Let's just say there are people who want t-mac out of the picture and are willing to slime him to do it. They want this to be a one-star show.
