Ooops, McCain's message has been comprimised...YET AGAIN !!!

    http://voices.washingtonpost.com/postpartisan/2008/10/why_the_tax_issue_isnt_working.html

"In the first, from “Meet the Press” on April 11, 2004, McCain said: “I voted against the tax cuts because of the disproportional amount that went to the wealthiest Americans.” (Does that make McCain a “socialist,” too?)

"In the second, from "Hardball" with Chris Matthews on Oct. 12, 2000, McCain said: “Here's what I, I, I really believe, that when you are--reach a certain level of comfort, there's nothing wrong with paying somewhat more.”

After his stump dialogue about 1:47 of the video, he gets nailed.

John....John, .....John....what would Joe the Plumber say now?

    Tsk tsk tsk...

As long as we have a progressive tax system, of course the wealthy will pay more in taxes. So what makes Obama's tax plan socialist that doesn't make McCain's socialist as well? Is it the degree to which it is done? If so, where do you draw the line?

Taking the money and giving it to someone that didn't earn it is socialism.

Yep, the difference is that Obama is NOT doing that...but McCain is telling his rallies that he is...

And yet, here is McCain supporting the same basic tax policies that Obama is presenting.

The rich pay more...what a novel concept.

Also by the definition used by Mccain and Palin every president of the united states since 1894 except George W Bush has been a socialist due to their socialist tax policies.

What are you talking about? Obama taxes the rich at a higher rate than the middle and lower class. So does McCain. What label you apply to one you have to apply to the other. If you call Obama a socialist because he has a progressive tax plan then you have to call McCain a socialist too because he has a progressive tax plan as well.

Any tax plan including the one we currently have now is a redistributiion of wealth. It's just who is going to be redistributed to, the wealthy or the middle class. The income gap between the rich and poor has grown, so of course milionaires like limbough, bil o riley, hannity, salvage, beck or going to sell their fans out to save there own pocket book.

Obama takes money from 1 to redistribute to the others. That's the difference, and that's socialism.

    How?

Taxes go to government. Government spends the money.

Taxes from Obama's plan to the government. Taxes from McCain's plan goes to the government. Both have higher taxes for the rich than they do for the middle and lower class.

So how again is one socialist and the other not?
