The fact that I love the Rockets regardless if they suck or not. I don't live in Houston and it's always a treat to keep in touch w/ my favorite team. I like the Kevin Martin trade so the situation definitely has piqued my interest as of late. Go Houston
Mainly their ball movement, ie. execution of Adelman's system. It's a thing beauty to watch, it's so fluid and smooth. That, and their international flavor, Battier's defense, and their explosive 3 shooting.
the players happen to have the words "Houston Rockets" stitched/attached to the Jersey's they wear game after game... aslong as they're not putting forth a starting five of: Moochie Norris Reece Gaines Ryan Bowen Pig Miller Chuck Hayes or any such facsimile... I'll keep tuning in...
I really enjoy being a fan...of any team. I just like being a fan, having someone to root for, and a long time ago I chose the Rockets. Having said that, and to answer your query, 30 years of trying to watch every Rockets game can be quite the habit.
Watched Dream play... and been a fan ever since. But there is always something special about every Rockets season. This year it was their outstanding team effort at the beginning of the season. And it sure looks like Brooks-Martin is going to be fun to watch for the remainder.
I watch because you never know whats gonna happen. The team could lose one game then start a 22 game winning streak the next. And I think it's just THAT much sweeter to have seen EVERY game from the beginning than to just be a bandwagon fan. Especially if they go on to win back to back championships. Those days still get me choked up.
I've been a fan ever since Yao has been in the league. I saw something special in him early, and started watching. Shortly after I became a huge fan and attempt to watch every game! GO ROX!!!!
I'm a die hard Arizona Wildcat fan and originally just started watching to see Chase develop. Now after following the Rockets all season, I'm really enjoying their team play. Add to that, the fact that Jordan is now on the team and I'm more pumped to follow an NBA team than I have been in a long long time. So, here's to hopefully many more years of watching exciting Rockets basketball!
I love this team & the way it is developing. It will complement Yao Ming when he returns next season. I live in hope!
