Or even Obama for that matter?

The dude looks stiff, post game looks awful, and he rarely dunks...not to mention his awful FT percentage.

If we trade DMo Lowry etc for the 2nd or 5th pick, will this be a Thabeet-like draft pick? What is special about him?

Main difference is Drummond is athletic, while Thabeet is not.

Other than that they are both defense first with ugly offensive games.

Have you seen Thabeet run the court?

Watch how Drummond runs the court...

Drummond can walk and chew gum and Thabeet can't?

    I'd pass

Thank God the game of basketball is won in between the freethrow stripes. This whole time, I thought Jordan had a very complete and hungry game but the real story is how he runs down the court!

Morey should get a bunch of people who look nice while they run, thatll solve all our problems.

Drummond has a very solid skillset and is extremely athletic, fluid. People here that compare him to Thabeet or say he's stiff, has no game assumingly watched 10minutes of him.

Well - Thabeet was 2nd overall pick, and Drummond looks like he'll only be 5th overall.

    Soooooooo

I would definitely NOT pick Drummond

Does anybody know of a guy with similar knocks pre-draft that actually panned out in the NBA?

PS He's one of the youngest guys in the draft and has lots of time to develop, plus he is a good person that is coachable.

I can understand drafting drummond at 12.......but to give up the whole farm for this guy is absurd. I have confident in Morey and i know he will not do this.

    Exactly.

    Dude is anything but stiff.

Sorry but Jordan running the court is not comparable to a big man. How many Centers can actually get back down the floor? You can count a few and those guys are the top centers in the NBA.

Also that Drummond protects the paint and actually finishes around the rim with a soft touch.

He's one of the more physically gifted big men to come into the draft.

Thabeet was not. Period. Thabeet was just tall for nothing.

Drummond is a legit 7footer. Moves without the ball like a sf. Has a freakish athleticism for his size. Still very young. I'd say he is Dwight Howard lite if he pans out.
