Ok, it was the IRA. Get real. Oh no, I am bad for referring to those who killed 5500+ Americans in cold blood as 'goat herders'. STFU.
MrSpurn Yes, yes you are. BTW have you been in contact w/ the FBI since you obviously know the identities (as well as the professions) of "those who killed 5500+" ? All so you really are represeting the Spurs nicely w/ your hateful racist rhetoric...Hey, you wouldn't happen to be Poppovich, would ya? You racist bass turd?
Let's see, the US Government believes that Bin Laden organized the attack, according to Bush, Powell, and Cheney. The US Government is "at war" currently, according to Pres. Bush. The Taliban government of Afghanistan has welcomed bin Laden as a "guest" before and bin Laden is currently believed to be in that country. Have you even paid attention to the news lately? Gee, the US is about to go to war with the Taliban, but hey, let's not refer to them as 'goat herders'. The PC puritans make me laugh. Let's not insult the enemy by calling them 'goat herders'...after all, that is much worse than killing them, right? Popovich is a 'racist'? LOL...that's a new one. Anyways, relevance? Stop the witchhunt kids and recognize. 5,000+ murdered and you don't want the perpetrators and those who aided them referred to with bad names. But let's kill them?
MrSpur, I'm all for justice here. I believe we should take action against those who have attacked us. There is a difference in supporting action and blindly grouping people together. It's not that I have issues w/ you calling the killers names. What bothers me is that these stereotypical names you are using, and that type of rhetoric, is the same being used in our country during acts of violence against innocent, peaceful members of our communities. The term goatherder is amoral (neither good/nor bad imo) until is used for discrimanation, but when you use this blanket term for the terrorists, you have to realize that it may apply to many members of our own society or at least it can be implied that it does. The other day I witnessed people screaming at a local Mosque as the congregation gathered outside. They were using the same terms as you, saying "we're gonna nuke you camel jockeys!". I found this to be absolutely sickening and it really pissed me off. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you should be singleing these people out based on their actions, not the color of their skin. When your comments have such racial overtones, it seems like you're concentrating on the race as a whole, not just the terrorists responsible for these horrible crimes.
Taliban = murderous terrorist scum-sucking women mistreating goat herding bastards. That is the enemy. They have no rights as far as I am concerned, including the right to not be insulted. I have not insulted the peaceful Islamic faith.
MrSpur, I just ask that you consider other BBS members before forwarding a race/slur war. I'm sorry is that is too much to ask.
Yes, we're all big fans... Now, don't you have to change the spark plugs on the ol' IROC? I hear the Alamodome is getting a new coat of pink paint today. I bet you'd hate to be late for that one...
Oh no, comments about a stadium. Wow. Good job. Great, you don't like the Taliban who the US is about to wage war upon, yet you are concerned that 'racism' embodied in comments such as 'goat herder' and 'camel jockey' may be directed towards them? So what are acceptable comments about a group that apparently aided in the murders of 5500+ individuals on American soil??? 'Friends'? The hypersensitivity is touching, but we aren't exactly talking about an innocent bunch here. If this was WWII would you be in an uproar over the use of "Kraut" to refer to the Germans?
I didn't realize the Taliban had so many fans here. Thanks for demonstrating your clear inability to read and comprehend simple comments. Its no wonder no one is getting through to you.
Spur - you fail to see any logic here.... Your last response clearly shows this. You ask if I would've called Germans "kraut" during WWII. I might've used a word like that (I don't know what it means to be honest with you) to describe the Nazi's, but I wouldn't have generalized that term to all Germans as you clearly would've. That's the point man. No one here is disagreeing with you about how awful the Taliban is. I just think the rest of us are a bit more mature and don't have to resort to generalizing the Taliban's acts onto the entire Muslim culture. I'm sorry if I'm sensitive about this issue, but I can't tolerate this kind of bigotry.. Call them killers or murderers all you want. I couldn't agree more about that. I just have issues when other peaceful Muslims (that might ride camels or herd goats as well) are lumped into your generization as the enemy. Is that so hard to grasp?
