Those Orlando fans can keep dreaming about instantly becoming a contender. That is not going happen!!! No team instantly becomes light years better when their absolutly best player wants to leave!
Well, it worked for the Rangers and Mariners when ARod left both places. But, Orlando can still dream.
Baseball is a bit different. The lack of hard cap make some baseball teams sign absurd contracts that are not justified no matter how good the players are. It is just ridiculous that ARod makes about as much as all players combined on some teams.
I don't particularly like the idea of giving up both Francis and Mobley. I'm fine with one or the other.
Orlando might go for that Hou/Char/Orl trade proposed earlier.. they get to start from scratch and remove Hill's mammoth contract.
Pick A has one approx 7 mil contract, two lottery rookie contracts, and a ton of capspace due to losing Hill. Pick B brings back a max player, a 7 mil contract and only 1 lottery pick. I think the financial side of this is what makes A more attractive to Orlando.
