does anyone know why charles barkley is not on the all 90's west team? is it some contract thing or are they just r****ded
I think it is just a contract thing. I don't know if it is a players union thing or what, but I think it is something like that. IIRC, Kareem wasn't there either. If both of them were actually left out based on skill, manm they really are r****ded. BTW, I'm assuming this is NBA 2k3 you were talking about since they have 90's west, 80's east, etc., though I guess Live may have it as well. Though, in this case, I don't think it matters.
Hey...are those ratings the actual ones by default? Like Boki is 76 and Griffin is 83? I was just wondering... What they rate Griffin and Boki and Cato and Steve and Mobley in the game. In NBA 2k3, Griffin is rated 73 overall, Boki 71, Cato 59, Steve 86, and Mobley 84.
I think they are default. I'm also used to 2k3's ratings, which seem more correct to me. I checked an faq on gamefaqs and saw all the ratings that SSG gave. It is just weird to see Collier having a higher rating that anybody else. Here's a link to that faq if anyone's curious, but it may be a little difficult to find the Rockets roster with the ratings. I think it is for the PC version, but I believe the ratings are the same for PC or console. http://db.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/file/nba_live_2003.txt
"Houston Rockets (Houston, TX) ----------------------------- Rating: 17th Coach: Rudy Tomjanovich Court: Compaq Center Starting Lineup: PG - #3 Steve Francis :91 6'3 195 3 SG - #5 Cuttino Mobley :84 6'4 210 4 SF - #41 Glen Rice :72 6'8 220 13 PF - #2 Maurice Taylor :79 6'9 260 5 C - #11 Ming Yao :79 7'5 296 R Bench Players: PF - #21 Kenny Thomas :81 6'7 245 3 PF - #33 Eddie Griffin :83 6'10 232 1 PG - #12 Moochie Norris :79 6'2 185 5 C - #13 Kelvin Cato :76 6'11 275 5 SF - #42 Walt Williams :77 6'8 230 10 SG - #18 Oscar Torres :75 6'6 210 1 SF - #9 Bostjan Nachbar :76 6'9 221 R Injured Reserve: C - #52 Jason Collier :69 7'0 260 2 PG - #6 Tito Maddox :74 6'4 190 R PF - #44 Terence Morris :73 6'9 221 1 On the Offensive Side: o Utilize Yao's skills. He could make easy lay-ups and FG shoots with his height. o Start a 3 pointing game with Houston. You could upgrade your line up to a full roster of 3 pointers. o Bring your bench players along. Most of Houston's guys could easily hit those treys. o Pick and roll works well with Yao. o Get 'The Franchise' going. o Run with the ball. Houston could soar with their fast line up. Defending: o Attempt for steals. Houston has a couple of major pick pockets. o Pressure the back court with dual guards. o Crash the board with Yao. Adding in Cato for the PF position fortifies the basket. o Attempt for offensive fouls. Houston could really run. o Make Yao work his shot blocking power. Key Players: PG - #3 Steve Francis- Pick and Roll and some more pick and rolls. C - #11 Ming Yao combination would surely power houston offensively creating space for your three pointers as they try to stop the two." MAN...these Rockets are good! How is Moochie Norris as good as Yao Ming though? I agree...NBA 2k3 ones seem a bit more accurate. I do adjust some stuff though like Maurice Taylor. I made him 72 from 69. And oh yeah.....on 2k3...they only put Rice's 3 point shooting at 73. I made it to like 80... Oh well...thanks RC! Good night!
Tell me about it. I re-adjusted the team as well just recently to get some excitement for the new season, and despite all the good memories from last year of Cato, I can't get him to a 76, only a 72. I wonder what he'll be next year? 85? (Super Cato! I heard that somewhere.) I made Mo a 74 for this next year, but I made EG a 74 as well. Both are skilled at different things, though. Hehe...I made Moochie a 60, and I still feel like I'm overating him. Also created Malick at a 65, which is pretty good considering most of the guys I create always end up 85 or better. Now I have to re-adjust every other team's ratings. I already did most of the roster updates. Man, I have too much time on my hands.
no no. not hopeless......were vampires. boo. grr. or whatever vampires say. id love to get to play 80's barkley against the fatter back em in 90's charles. but yea contract disputes are awrful in games. oh well at least they can have shaq and MJ. still lame. no 2k4 for gamecube gives me a kanker sore on my brain and theres no...uhh...oragel in sight. time for me and my bad analogies to hit the sack
btw is there any way to put the all stars from any decade team on any modern team. if so id have a ball trading cato for moses and rice for elvin hayes and whatnot. but i guess that leaves the decade teams with only ELEVEN all decade players to put on the floor. not enough to get the job done for the sissys. i dare you to beat me with kelvin cato your 12th man and my lineup of moses yao hayes mobley and francis. thats right what
Man, that sounds so familar to me, but I can't remember how to do it, if in fact there is a way to do it. All I can remember is how to make duplicate players so you can have like 3 Garnetts or whatever on the Rockets.
Not a big game player but my nephew has the game and wanted to play me with his fantasy team and he let me make up my own. It was: PG- Nash (Payton was the back up) SG- Pierce SF- Dirk PF- Karl Malone C- Ming
Just picked up 2k3 the other day and have been glued to it. PG) Francis SG) Mobley/Sura SF) Rice/Nachbar/Williams/Curry PF) Barkley/Griffin/Thomas C) Olajuwon/Ming Changed the stats of all the players on the All 90s teams that are still active to reflect their primes, so the league is stacked with talent. Francis is averaging a triple double and Hakeem is a beast. Unfortunately, my created Barkley looks more like Derek Harper.
