I have NBA LIVE 2003, and I play it almost everyday. Here's my lineup: (Rockets) C: Yao Ming(Not even Shaq can't stop him on NBA LIVE) PF: Eddie Griffin(Very good on NBA LIVE) SF: Reggie Miller(I tweak Miller to 30 years old, good 3pt shooter) SG: The Game(I created this player, he's great) PG: Cutinno Mobley(Better than Francis in NBA LIVE, because he can shoot 3 pointer) Bench: Alonzo Mourning Bryon Russell Charlie Ward Demon Jone Shannon Anderson and other..............
I'm going to start playing again today since I'm done with my class. I'll tell ya how it goes. I'm also thinking about playing with next years rosters, or possibly creating a summer streetball roster too with all the people from the Rucker Leagues and such.
NBA 2K3 Steve Francis 99 Cuttino Mobley 87 Yao Ming (created) 90 Ben Wallace 91 James Posey 83 Nobody can stop me harrrrrrrr!
Francis Mobley Pike Taylor Yao bench Boki Badiene Hawk Rice Cato Griffin Mooch anyone wanna play online?
In my franchise (2009-2010): PG: Steve Francis SG: Tracy McGrady SF: Bostjan Nachbar PF: Elton Brand C: Drafted center SF, TM, and EB are all in the 90's, my center is an 88 in his 3rd year I think, and I think Boki is in the high 70's. My bench sucks, though. I just got Demarr Johnson and a bunch of foreigners. But do I really need a bench? In exibition, I have what the Rockets have currently with a few rating changes that I saw fit. I created Yao and use him. I would have had him in my franchise, but I don't think CAP's get better. edit: oh yeah, my coach in franchise is a master at everything and he costs a bunch. But I gues 7 rings in 7 finals is enough to get paid a lot. Oh, and this is with NBA 2k3 if anyone's curious.
Okay, kind of unrelated, but quick question... Playing online would be pretty neat, but... It's free only for a limited time which irks me. The question is, do I get it on PC-CD or PS2? Problem with PS2 is that I don't have a feasible way of getting it connected to the internet (modem downstairs + wired router = no fun ).
This is where the Sony Network adaptor comes in. buy one of those and than all you need is a phone line. And what is this BS about having to pay online. I have never paid to play online. All you have to do is buy the adaptor, and your set. We may have to pay to play online in Live 2004, but not for Live 2003. But I haven't heard anything about that.
Whoah, so will a phone line be fast enough, or is speed not affected??? Will another line be necessary?
A phone line is weaker than DSL/Broadband, it is more choppier for sure. It's hard to make fts. if you make 50 % of them, you are pretty good then. But I get used to it because a phone line is all I have. Many online players do use just a phone line. When you play with someone with a DSL connection, the flow of the game is better. You can have just one phone line, and use it if other members of your family don't mind you using it. I play a lot at night.
NBA Live 2003: NY Knicks C- Levander Spears 7-1 (computer drafted player) PF- myself 6-11 (the size I should've grown to, think a combination between Dirk Nowitzki and Alonzo Mourning) SF- Demarr Johnson 6-9 SG- T-Mac 6-8 PG- Kirk Hinrich (I created the entire draft class of 03) Bench SG/PG Cat SF/PF/C Macej Lampe SF Jamal Mashburn PG Frank Williams PF/SF Vladimir Radmonavic PG Brandon Armstrong PF Ansu Seay
i was so dissapointed with live 2003. defense is hard as hell without blocking and offense is so easy i try to purposely miss so that my team fg would seem believable. hopefully 2004 will be much more realistic. i like to draft between 10-15th in the franchise mode. i get all my fave players. i can get baron davis, dirk nowtzki, eddie griffin, pedrag drobnjak, raef lafrentz, baron davis is better than francis in the live 2003 franchise mode and he is cheaper. like 213,000. in fact i think davis has the 3 pt, dunker, defense icon on him. another good bargain is dirk nowitzki. as is raef lafrentz. grinffin is good but will demand max contract. as will pedrag drobnjak, mike dunleavy. as you can probably guess, i love 3 point shooters. edit. someone mentioned chris wilcox and melvin ely in the dish forum. these 2 are good players too. both will almost max out their rebounding attributes, but one of em will want an almost max contract, and the other one will be too old for a full 7 year contract. trade them for good rookies on their last year of their rookie contract. man i should be a real gm. my franchise carreer is like bill russell's celtic years. question; if your franchise team is one with lousy draft picks over the years (ie knicks), will it affect your rookie assesment (strength, weakness) during the draft?
NBA 2K3 Starters PG - Francis SG - Mobley SF - Hawkins PF - Griffin C - Yao Bench Piatkowski Nachbar Taylor Rice Cato Badiane Norris I play an 8 man rotation with Piatkowski subing in a 3 man guard rotation with Francis and Mobley. I have Hawkins and Nachbar split time at the 3. And sub Taylor in a 3 man rotation with Griffin and Yao.
THe things i hate about the game are, the sticky defense, and missing wide open dunks....like 5 times in a row. The game needs to be slowed down a bit... It almost seems that the Arcade mode in NBA LIVE 2003 should be the simulation mode. It has a much more slower tempo.
Live Year One 3-0 bABY Chandler - 80 Griffin - 83 Boki -76 TMAC - 95 Franchise - 91 Bench Cato - 76 Ryan Humphrey - 73 Eduardo Najera - 76 Oscar Torres - 75 Jamal Crawford - 78 Marko Jaric - 68 Jason Collier - 69 Olemide Oyededji - 66 Danforth Lankford - 63
It always happens when you are ahead. You miss layups and dunks by the hundreds, and the computer makes a turnaround, fadeaway three-pointer with three defenders in their face. Go figure. I always get killed by three-point shooting point guards. Derek Fisher dropped 50 on me on time and he hit nearly 70 percent from the land of three. Give me a break!
PG: john stockton SG: francise SF: Ke (a player created based on myself) PF: Eddie C: Yao Bench: the dream(he was not retired in live 2003) the cat kirilenko and the rest of the rocket's bench
