Am I the only wanna-be hippie in the house?
    (Btw, I'm only 18, so I'm a unique case)

    Glorious, glorious metal.

    Pure musicianship.

Opeth, Protest the Hero, Between the Buried and Me, Dragonforce, Becoming the Archetype, Killswitch Engage, In Flames, Children of Bodom, Avenged Sevenfold, TOOL, Dream Theater, Trivium, Still Remains, All That Remains, and a whole lot more.

Used to be big into hip hop but then it all went to **** as soon as the radio-friendly overproduced puffy bubblegum **** ruined the game. Now you find maybe 1 song out of a 100 thats worth a 2nd listen.

Still love 90s rock to this day.

I seriously try out everything from rock to Latin to hip hop to jazz. I don't like all of it, but I give almost everything a shot.

The only things I generally don't like are modern country, Christian pop music and opera. Otherwise, I'm open.

I'll listen to just about anything that comes my way. I tend to stay away from top 40 and radio rap.

I listen to outlaw country, the big three female county, Dolly, Tammy and Lorretta. Some Patsy Cline.

The newer generation females: Tanya Tucker, Emmylou, Rossanne Cash, Patty Loveless.

Mid-80s stuff: Highway 101, The Kendalls, Doug Stone, Randy Travis, George Strait, Shenandoah. The bluegrass and Newgrass scene: the great Alison Kraus, Ricky Scaggs, Dwight Yoakam, Don Willams, Charley Pride.

I listen to Instrumental music: Jerry Douglass, Joe Maphis, Bela Fleck, the flecktones. Miles Davis, Coltrane, Jimmy Heath, Kenny Dorham. Duke Ellington.

The Folk Scene: Townes Van Zandt, Iris Dement, John Prine, Dylan.

The more I listen to jazz the more I like it: My new current favorite: Red Clay by Freddie Hubbard.

i like weird music. well atleast a lot of people dont share the same taste. plus im all over the map... favorite bands include the mars volta, fiery furnaces, ike turner, anything from stax records (sam and dave, wilison pickett...etc), indie hip hop ( anything from stones throw records), and hip hop in general.... no gangsta rap or anything to do with country. ok maybe a nostalgic pat green song every now and then
