No one is biased, what are you talking about?

I see it in a realistic fashion, Tmac let himself go over the summer, and was out of shape in training camp....

He will work it off, but it is the truth.

Meanwhile, other players, took a more professional approach and kept themselves in shape even through rehab.

The truth is just that....no bias...just the truth.

Battier, that lazy terd. Sandbagging it along, drag assing after he got surgery long ago, and he can't come back YET?

DD I agree with you 100%. Mentally he doesn't have that leadership. He says he will be something else this year, but it starts in the summer. He could've been in a decent diet. This may be off the topic but I remember Ron Artest posting up someone against the kings up high near the 3pt line, yes it was that high up and wonder, man he is crazy, but I then though even if he is not expecting to get the ball there, he is working his guy to death. That is one tmac will never do unless he has the ball. Those little things are reasons why I am not as high on Tmac as alot of fans in here.

this is also tmac's FIRST surgery EVER in his life. maybe he's struggling with it mentally moreso than physically.

It could also be that we're not all clones, therefore we have different body types, some more likely to be injured than others.

To be fair, he also had shoulder surgery. Any athlete will tell you that having two surgeries makes things extra difficult because your body is fighting to recover in two places.

It also made it impossible for him to stay in great shape.

However, he should be ok on starting night. If he wasnts to be careful after having his first two surgeries in one summer, he has a right to do that. In fact I encourage it. That way we can guarantee that if there's a small mental side to this, it should dissapear if he takes as long as he needs and it won't be an excuse later in the season.

Besides, we can win without him once Shane is back. I'm perfectly confortable with Battier/Artest/Head/Barry running the wingspots if Yao is on the floor. This is a 50+ win team without T-Mac.

Let him take as long as he needs plus how long his mind thinks he needs. It will be worth it.

but that's normal considering it's his first surgery EVER, esp. at the age of 29. ask any athlete, they are all mentally not sure when they start rehabbing, considering the extent of tmac's injuries in the past. he doesn't want to rush it.

but hopefully that mental block will be cleared soon b/c we need to get off to a good start.

I agree about that part, but the part about him getting out of shape has nothing to do with surgery and everything to do with taking the easy road.

Look at all the guys on the team that also are coming off surgery and the shape they maintained.

Yao - thinner than last year
    Battier - same
    Alston - same
Francis - thinner than last year

All of those guys at least took the time to get into some semblence of shape, while Tmac did not....

That is why he is not a leader....whomever said he has an issue because things have come easy for him is right......he needs to now transform himself to a much harder working player to maintain his status.....

Tmac being out of shape, is not a good sign of mental toughness.

    Color me.....not surprised.

When they take your appendix out it is an appendectomy, when they take your tonsils out it is a tonsilectomy, While they were fixing his knee and shoulder, Tmac should have had one more surgey to fix his mental toughness, you know...addadicktome.
