R2K: My neighbor has a black G8. I have to agree, those things are sick. Mean appearance, sweet power, and one heck of a head-turner.
Man I wish I coulda found a black one. By the time I was looking for a new car, Pontiac had already been shut down and there weren't many of them at the dealers. I was fortunate to find this one at the local dealer. The only black one I saw didn't have the additional packages and it had a V6.
The Holden Utes are amazing. Great performance and they look good enough that even if you didn't need it for work you'd be happy to buy one. I've seen a lot of them around where I live. Just thinking about the pros and cons... The pros for my Ford Falcon XR6, the size of the car, heap of room, a huge boot (Not a simpsons reference!), looks great. Cons, it can get thirsty if you have a heavy foot. I find the traction control kicks in pretty early. Also some issues with the noise from the diff and they put dodgy door locks in them which you have to end up replacing. For the Holden SV6...pros, big car once again, great handling, feels like you could drive it straight to the track. Ridiculously powerful, only supposed to have something like 4 more horsepower than my Falcon but there is no way. This car is scary powerful. Cons, it's a hard ride because if the sports suspension. You couldn't drive it as an inexperienced driver or a rev head, you'd get yourself killed. Only other problem is, it's not mine! :-D
I feel very fortunate. I got my first car today, my Dad got me a 2010 Mazda 6, brand new. I hope I can provide something like this for my kids in the future.
I have an 04' GX470...great vehicle, but gas mileage sux... I miss my 99' LS400 and want another one soo bad...
