I buy Nikes, preferably black, preferably under $60.00.

Nikes because even with the child labor stuff, they fit me the best and I check my liberal biases at the gym door.

Black because I'm already slow and the shoes make me look slower, thus giving me a psychological advantage.

Under $60.00 because I think shoe prices are ridiculous. I don't wait until I need some however. If I see a good pair on sale at someplace like Mervyn's, I'll snag 'em. Have a pair in my closet that have not yet been worn, but have been there for about 8 months.

 

Same here, I got those Air Max for $55 at Oshman's during the tax free weekend.

 

Where is a good place to look up old Nike shoes. i want to find my favorite pair of basketball shoes. It is from 1997, 1998 time. I think Scottie Pippen wore them. THis was when he still was in Chicago. I had the Tarheel Blue version of them.

Not exactly, but they are broke in and comfortable so I am not gonna mess with them now. I might take some pics and email them to reebok and see what that gets me though. It is just a defect I guess, the plastic isn't glued on good enough or they put a removable part in a high wear area... go figure.

 

NIKE all the way ...... i play in my 95 air max.... and boy they feel good!!
