Had these (Tmac 5): Just got these (Chris Pauls, Jordan): The Chris Pauls are head and shoulders above the Tmacs. Unfortunately, the shoes were too much like T-mac. They fell apart sooner than I thought they would. The Chris Pauls are much lighter, more comfortable, and easier to move in. The only advantage I would give to the T-macs were that they looked nicer IMO.
I actually wear my all black ones to work now instead of dress shoes. I actually like balling in my running shoes from Mizuno. My ankle isn't well protected, but it increases my mobility over basketball shoes. I need all the advantages I can get when it comes to quickness.
I am currently wearing these and I don't really like them all that much, too bulky IMO. These are still the best basketball shoes I've ever gotten, can't find a good pic anywhere.
Forgot to comment. Nike Air Zoom Huarache Elite II TB None of the shoes last longer than 2 semesters for me. I hit the courts about 3-5 times a week. This one held up well compared to the previous version of Huarache Air Zooms. I haven't rolled my ankles with these high top designed kind of shoes before. Only $64 shipped from eastbay.com with a 20% off coupon. I play PG.
I've been playing in these since they came out. I LOVE THEM. Mine are worn out, I'm looking for a new pair but can't because of my abnormally huge shoe size, 15.
Currently I use these Jordans: CP3 model they are getting better and better as the leather molds to my feet... at first they were a little tough on the ankles (like rubbing them wrong), but they have softened up and really pretty nice. Best shoes I've ever worn: Zoom Huarache 2k5 -- simply as good as it gets in my experience for a slashing guard. You can't really find them anymore though... I'm sure the new Kobe's are pretty damned good though and will be comparable if not better than these.
