As a woke person, I see no need for any flags beyond the national and state flags. If you allow one group to display their flag, then you would need to allow any and all groups to display a flag. It doesn’t really seem practical. I don’t really consider this a “woke” issue.

So banning/removing books from school is "woke" Huh, interesting. I'll agree that in that I think it's a bad decision, whether it be in Canada... or elsewhere.
The definition of "woke" continues to expand, encompassing anything and everything that is hated or disliked. The latest example comes from Trump. Trump said: Mark Milley is "a woke train wreck" "Woke" also now apparently means a Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, with 44 years of experience, who has deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt, Panama, Haiti, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Colombia, Somalia, and the Republic of Korea, just because he insisted the military remain loyal to the Constitution rather than a man.
"Woke" is the continuation of a through line of right wing propaganda that started in the wary 20th century when the concept of "cultural Bolshevikism" was formed. Essentially it was a conspiracy that a cabal of mostly Jews were trying to upset the western white hegomony with collectivism values.
