DeSantis is clearly against most Americans. The Republican platform is. Look at their election results. And rather than reflect and learn from those results, they will claim fraudulent elections and find ways to not count votes, and game the system.

Oh man the 15 incidents on the planet of a trans person winning a female sports comp is the issue of this generation for women...

Oh ya. That seems to the case I guess...

When I see people stare at her saying these things and smile and clap, I have to believe their brains are just filled with similar contents found in the vacuum of space.

I bet you the vast majority of people addicted to the "trans in women sports" story by now have had probably the same 7 stories cycled to them in the past two years evenly spaced out so they don't notice that the same cycle of stories get repeated to them. It's that pathetic.

Hypersensitive Republicans who complain about 'triggered' liberals are the ultimate 'snowflakes': journalist

The Daily Wire's Ben Shapiro is fond of saying, "Facts don't care about your feelings," while others on the right have a more in-your-face slogan: "F*** your feelings." Liberals and progressives, the argument goes, are easily "triggered" and need to grow a much thicker skin.

"Real Time" host Bill Maher, himself a liberal with libertarian leanings, believes that liberals per se aren't the problem, but argues that "wokeness" is a departure from traditional liberalism — and that Americans are sick of having to "walk on eggshells" because of "woke" people who are constantly offended. Maher, however, is also a scathing critic of MAGA Republicans he considers hypersensitive.

Right-wing hypersensitivity is the focus of an op-ed written by journalist Joe Berkowitz and published by the Daily Beast on June 5. Berkowitz emphasizes that "the same MAGA Republicans who once wore 'f*** your feelings' t-shirts to Trump rallies now exist in a perpetual state of emotional outpouring."

"Being a conservative these days sounds emotionally exhausting," Berkowitz laments. "At any given moment, you might find out, for instance, that your favorite light beer sent a brew to a transgendered influencer and get so mad about it you have to film yourself using that beer for target practice. Or you might discover —gasp! — that Target is selling t-shirts with little rainbows on them for Pride Month and simply have no choice but drive to the nearest Target, threaten employees with violence, write a song about it, and whine that the song is being censored.… That's just how it goes in the United States of Wokemerica: another day, another space that is not safe."

A common MAGA argument, Berkowitz points out, is that being easily offended makes liberals "unfit to hold the majority in a tough world that demands a thicker skin."

The journalist, however, observes, "January 6, (2021) proved once and for all that 'f*** your feelings' never meant that feelings themselves were frivolous signs of weakness, only that yours are…. The years since the insurrection have seen conservatives retreat into constant, shrieking victimhood."

Ben Shapiro made an entire segment centered around Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique outrage. These people aren't serious humans.

Might as well be at this point. You are in lockstep with 99% of policy desires of American evangelicals.

Who knew Chick Fil-A was woke.

How Chick-fil-A became a target for going ‘woke’
    New YorkCNN —

Chick-fil-A has become a surprise target of right-wing ire following the discovery that the company has an executive overseeing its diversity, equity and inclusion policies.

It joins a growing list of companies that right-wing media and conservatives on social platforms have chastised for so-called “woke” marketing. But Chick-fil-A is an unusual target for the right wing because of the company’s conservative bona fides.

    What happened?
The fact that Chick-fil-A has been trending online and the subject of conservative media news segments shows the power that a few people with large social media followings can have.

In a series of tweets, including one that made a transphobic comment, right-wing political commentator Joey Mannarino earlier this week asked if people will the “boycott” the chain because of the company’s DEI efforts.

Shortly after, far-right personalities, including Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA and Ian Miles Cheong, joined in.

There isn’t “one Christianity”. The extremists are trying to make their own hateful version the one and only…

Umm I posted on this quite a bit. Too bad you never contributed, so you cannot search.

So I'll make it easy for you. I was raised Catholic (in a very moderate way, just happened to grow up in an area in Germany that was 90%+ Catholic, but my mom was from Korea and had little connection to religion). I left the Catholic church in Germany over 20 years ago, because I couldn't believe the fairytales and was disgusted by some of the things church officials did.

I would describe myself as agnostic - very skeptical of organized religion, but still believing in basic values that are common to most religions, and wondering about some kind of afterlife.

I also don't think all religions are the same - some clearly have more violent and intolerant roots and followers. That includes some Christian sects, extremist Jewish sects, as well as much of Islam.
