Were people ever? I thought the whole issue was people wanting biological men to use the men's restroom. I'm not familiar with the trans movement and won't pretend that I know too much about it but I certainly don't want a biological male in the restroom with my daughter
I understand that concern. Complaints about tampons in men’s bathrooms seem to be centered on only wanting biological males in those bathrooms. Or maybe I’m misunderstanding the motivation behind those complaints.
That's my only concern (biological men in women's bathrooms and fitting rooms). You know that there are sexual predators that will attempt to take advantage of that. On the tampon thong I've never heard much about that at all. Like I said, I don't have familiarity with the trans movement. I don't know anyone who is trans. I'm strictly speaking from a father's perspective. Now, if they completely transition thats a different conversation
But why now? There have always been trans people...and before no one would care about a trans woman using the woman's bathroom until the last few years. Why did people all of a sudden start caring now?
Because now it's become a talking point. It wasn't before. On the "before no one would care about until a trans woman using woman's bathroom " I would respectfully disagree. If I was taking my daughter into the bathroom and I happened to notice that I certainly would have said something. I just never saw it. Still haven't to be fair. Best thing for the Trans movement would have been to leave it alone. Live your life. Most of us haven't had experience with trans people. They make up a very small percentage of the population. They're entitled to do that but until a full transition than biologically they're still males
Just saying for 100's of years no one complained. Around the world in fact. In a lot of places they were considered good luck.
And I don't think people would complain (or.notice unless it was outlandish) but right now it's a movement that's being forced. Nobody really cared about people being gay until people tried to go over the top. I know that I didn't. Now, nobody mentions it. I just think you leave it alone personally It's the same as the people dying their hair weird colors and freaking out. Minorities and people who support equal rights don't want to see that. We do have to be better as a society but it's not the way when you alienate people.
So you are saying because Transgender people asked for rights and made noise about it, people should discriminate against them?
