Same here, seen results over the past year. I'm more interested in the diets of people on here. How do you guys space out your meals, what food do you eat, etc?
i go to the gym everyday. i dont know if this is overtraining or not, but this is what i like to do. rest days make me feel like im wasting time. day 1: chest. 3 or 4 workouts. 4 or 5 sets of 4-6 reps of heavy weights to work out the chest. i try to change the routine. usually bench, incline chest press, decline bench on the smith machine, chest flyes, dips. triceps i do one or 2 workouts. 3 or 4 sets of 4-6 reps. tri press, kickbacks, tri extensions, tri exercises on the machines, etc day 2: back 3 or 4 workouts. 4 or 5 sets of 4-6 reps. deadlifts, lats pulldowns, chinups, bendover rows, sitdown rows. biceps i do one or 2 workouts. 3 or 4 sets of 4-6 reps. curls, hammers, EZ bars, barbells, etc day 3: cardio in the morning, shoulders later in the evening cardio, i run on the tradmill for 45 mins. probably too long for my own good. i like to jog for 2 mins, fast run for 3 mins, and repeat for the whole 45 mins. after that i do some abs workout. shoulders, again 3 or 4 workouts. 4 or 5 sets of 4-6 reps. military press, shoulder press, arnolds, front raises, side raises, machines. do the triceps day 4: legs 2 or 3 workouts. 4 or 5 sets of 4-6 reps. squats is a must. and then maybe lunges, calf raises, or leg press. do the biceps. repeat the whole thing again. i eat whenever i feel hungry, basically about 5 meals a day. i usually eat healthy, but allow myself some junk food if i crave for them. most people can tell i workout by looking at me, but i'm not bulky or cut. i have some flab on my stomach that i can probably lose by going on a cut, but i really hate having to watch what i eat. basically i dont mind the workout, i love it in fact, but i hate having to control what i eat. also i dont take any protein shakes, or whey, or creatine or power bars etc. i do eat lots of tuna and drink skim milk.
i'm not criticizing your workout and i'm sure you're getting great results, but arent' you overworking your musles a bit? doesn't seem there's too much recovery time. from all i've researched, your muscles actually grow during your rest periods. Edit: n/m, i should have read the rest of the thread before posing this question.
Usually this is the breakdown of how often I eat, not what I eat obviously. 8:00 am: breakfast 11: snack 1: lunch 4: snack 6: dinner 9: snack I just adjust my eating schedule for when I wake up.
same here. watching what you eat sucks. i could probaby stand to lose 15 lbs of fat but it's just no fun. i'd rather pig out at the buffet and work it off.
