I'm not positive, but Fred Thompson may have been alive around that time, since his most prized possession (from his own words ) is his trophy wife.
This is kind of weird, but I would say my most prized possessions are things that I can't really touch or buy.... I would say first my soul or my individual freedoms.
A hand carved wood/glass cased box that contains the American flag folded, my grandfathers WWII picture and all of his medals, including the on he received for being in a German prisoner of war camp for over 2 years after being captured with the British Commandos in Italy. Another would be the pipe holder that holds over 40 pipes that my pappa smoked from as far back as the 30's. Both are displayed in my office and clients love to check 'em out.

I think I have the very same one! I was just thinking about that the other day. I've had my alarm clock/radio for at least 15 years. It still works like a charm. Mine is just the very basic one with time, an alarm, a snooze, and a FM/AM dial radio. All those new alarm clock/radios have too many buttons to understand
