Steve Francis Press Pass SE 2000 Maryland game worn Jersey card OS 2/2 numbered 44/50. Hakeem Olajuwon, Charles Barkley, and Clyde Drexler autographed Official Spalding basketball w/ COA. Craig Biggio autographed batting practice (possibly game-used) bat given to me by an awesome bat boy when I had some surgery in '98. My brother bought a Nolan Ryan rookie card at some auction for about $400. It's not in great condition, but hey, it's a Nolan Ryan rookie card!!! 4 Kobe Bryant rookie cards (weeeeellllll not the official one, but still). Found these in Grandmother's apartment 3 weeks ago: box filled with 1954-1956 baseball cards. Of the finds: 1954 Topps: Sandy Koufax, Willie Mays, Mickey Mantle (in GREAT condition, btw). Prolly a few others. And that's just sports stuff. Of other stuff I can think of my family has (and I'm looking at right now): Original Edison Phonograph, a diamond cut emerald ring that was found through insurance papers at grandmother's apartment (unaccounted for). Tons and tons of tobacco-related memorabilia (if you got any of it, please tell me cuz my father is an avid collector of this type of stuff) and other stuff I'm sure.
I'm normally not for grading cards but I would send off the big name cards to BGS or PSA for grading. If you keep them, it will protect them. If you sell them, you'll get many times more than you would an ungraded card - especially if they give it a high grade. ps...Nice find!
Hell no!! Im going to hold on to it for a while, or until I need to buy an engagement ring or something (which wont happend until he at least makes his induction speech at the hall of fame). Maybe I could write a letter to Randy Hendricks and see what happens.....
Framed copies of the Houston Post front page the day after the 1994 championship and the Houston Chronicle front page the day after the 1995 championship. Framed copy of the Houston Post front page the day Nixon resigned in 1974. Autographed albums from Nick Lowe and the orginal Fabulous Thunderbirds. Framed pictures of me with Steve Van Zandt (Little Steven from Springsteen's E Street Band) and me with Big Walter "The Thunderbird" Price (oldtime Houston bluesman). And, last but not least, my 1954 Gretsch Electromatic....a functional piece of memorabilia!
I have a lukcy T-shirt that has my 4 year old son's hand prints and my 7 month old son's footprints on it. I wear it on every flight I take. It is my lucky shirt, and has more meaning then any other piece of memorabilia I have. DD
aww....that brings a tear to my eye dadakota. BTW, how is it so lucky if you've only had it for less than 7 months?
I have a cup made by my Ex as a birthday present a few years ago. Just by looking at it now brings tears to my eyes...
My grandfather pitched for the St Louis Cardinals back in the 20s and 30s. He had a ball autographed by the '27 Yankees. Including Babe Ruth, whom he struck out. When we moved from Iowa to Houston in 1972, my dad carefully packed it away in boxes. When we unpacked that box 6-7 months after we had moved into our house in Houston the ball was gone. Stolen in 1972 by the moving company...that ball would have been worth a fortune today..... I still have all the press clippings of my Grandfathers career. He was in a car wreck that destroyed his ligaments in his knee and it ended his career. As for the answer about my son being only 7 months old...the shirt is a new one to replace the faded one I had with my first born sons footprints when he was 6 months old. DD
