It's not just an issue of social norms. It IS Texas law.

If you're not passing you have no business in the left lane and can get tciketed, just like a speeder.

Nope, I'd rather b**** about those who can't seem to go with the flow of traffic and are one of the leading causes of accidents. GET THE **** OVER, or better yet, get off the road.

Good for the accidents. Maybe more speeders will die.

I wonder if all us "I use the fast lane but yield to faster traffic, no matter how fast I am going" people learned to drive in Houston : )

I'm not angry, just having fun.

But It would nice to be able to relax and drive the speed limit without constantly moving over for those going too slow, and those going too fast.

But getting over for people going 100 does annoy me. There is really no need for it. WHY CAN'T WE ALL JUST MELLOW OUT?

As I've already conceded, it is the official fast lane. But, there's something self-defeating about a fast lane where the speed limit is the same as the rest of the freeway. You can't use the lane without breaking the law, essentially.

But most likely not letting a person who wants to drive 100 is not making the road safer because he/she will not mellow out. They will become even more agressive and pull some manuver that puts everyone's life in jeopardy including those riding in the middle and slow lanes.

I've seen some insaine moves that drivers pulled and they pulled them because someone would not get over.

Then they are to blame for their own actions. I'm not going to accommodate their insanity on top of their illegality.

I think it has something to do with life in the fast lane. Surely make you lose your mind.

As long as you know you're accommodating your own illegality (and sounds like insanity) by not accommodating their's.

So....the 70% of you who drive in the fast lane and move over when a faster car comes by....Are you driving in that lane when the right lane is open???

    Why?

    Move over!

There is always a faster car, there is always a slower car. If we all went the speed limit, we would get to where we want to go much more productively. But obviously people think they have the right to go as fast as they want, and to hell with the rest. MEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEME

You realize you're doing the same thing by also not following the rules of the road, correct? MEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEOWGI
