I think we can be 6th seed.

Lakers, Mavs, Nuggets, Clippers, Warriors will be top 5 seeds.

Of course there is a scenario where we implode and squeak in as the 8th seed or miss the playoffs entirely.

This might be a Covid stricken and almost Lockout season.

Let's hope they hammer out the CBA in time.

Go into it with an open mind.

If that happens, all of us fans need to watch the game from home and not purchase tickets. Drive him out of here til he’s bankrupt!

It would be a success if a first time coach could basically repeat last season with MDA.

If we don't add a significant rotation big man (like actually tall) somehow, this team is gonna get worn down to a nub in the regular season. You have to play far too hard to win. I could easily see the season becoming a disaster and Harden mentally checking out.

If we do address that issue, I expect Harden to drag us to 50 wins (or the 72 game equivalent) and get bounced in the first round, maybe 2nd if Silas is really good.

I dont think it is that dire. Mda had one play and played on 7 guys. Even if Rockets dont pick up another player I trust Silas to put in more plays and use more players.

3-7 Is up for grabs and could be any team. But without spending money and the other teams do. You could see a early first round exit playing whoever the 2nd or 3rd seed is.

I think small ball is fine in the playoffs when every game is balls out for a month with little travel and no B2B.

But over the course of the regular season, good teams more or less coast to a lot of their wins. Before the Covid break, this team wasn't coasting to anything. Needing high effort in every game simply isn't something you can function with in the regular season.

    No way.

Even with MLE a d not going over the tax, Rockets were still top 4 team last season, I would argue top 3.

Rockets still have all key players back.

Hate them or not, Harden and Russ are top 3 superstar duo in NBA.

    Still.

100% agree with you. I expect the Rockets to start slow. Even throw in Portland / Utah / OKC / Zion / and Suns
to be kicking at our feet coming out of the starting gate. Spurs will do us no favors as well. West is going to be even more brutal this year.

Hate quoting myself or Sedono but he said something important, now that Morey is gone who will be mining the G League - especially important since Rockets are so tight against the cap.

Bring in an expert from the franchises that do this so well (Heat, Raptors, Nuggets, Celtics, Spurs).

Maybe some who actually runs Miami's player development and analytics perhaps????

C'mon Patrick, hire Shane Battier already and shut everyone up!!!!!

But he never promised us every season that he would.

Paying LT is Tilly's version of the imaginary new and improved beautiful health care plan.
