Here's the highlight mix of Amen. Look at 0:30 and the dude guarding Amen. You tell me I dont watch tape but its the first thing I see. Oh most players are over 18? Well thats good to know cuz the Twins are over 20 lmao.

Yes it'd be great to see them at the combine, I would love it if they do indeed have generational athleticism as people are claiming. But right now with 0 evidence I dunno why everyone keeps saying they in the top 1% on the level of Zion or Lebron. There's no basis on that they havent tested anything and dunks vs high school kids when you're old enough to be a junior in college aint it.

There's an adage about lie being 1000 times turning into truth. I remember when people were claiming Cade was 6'8, turns out he was 6'6. People just parrot talking points withoht verifying.

I'm now paranoid about shooting being the one irrevocable trait required in anyone who's trying to crack our rotation. Defense is probably the second most important trait. We have playmaking out of Green, Sengun, and potentially Harden if he joins.

    1. Wemby
    2. Miller
    3. Scoot
    4. Walker
    5. Taylor Hendricks

I wish we had three picks again in this draft. There are so many point guards available in Scoot, Amen, Black, George, Hood-Schifino, Cason Wallace, etc.

It's a great class. I could easily see there being 6 or 7 guys who end up in multiple all-star games. Next year is much weaker.

One note about the Thompson twins that I didn't realize until today: The three point line in OTE is NBA-length. So they're definitely shooting at a disadvantage versus college players. I still think Amen's three point shot looks bad, but he did demonstrate improvement in both mechanics and percentage by the end of the year. Ausar I feel pretty optimistic can develop into a shooting threat in the NBA, but he's definitely less athletic than his brother.

From a "need" standpoint I'm starting to believe that Walker is #2 behind Wemby. Still below Scoot as a prospect but Jarace is one of those players that almost any team needs or could use. Unlike Scoot, Jarace abilities translate immediately and don't need to be worked around for a few years.

Can groom him and he can provide switchability and a floater in the mean time while he becomes a point forward. Even if he doesn't he's still a defensive monster.

Keyonte George - recently deteriorated, having fun
    Gradey Dick
    Sasser
    Smith
    Jett Howard
    Filipowski

Those are likely the shooters in the draft, honorable mentions go to allround guys like Miller.

Yeah, he's the perfect #3 guy for a Big Three. Defensive stopper, good rebounder, great passer, variety of off-the-ball offensive skills, and a little bit of shot creation ability. I think we probably end up with at least one primary scoring option out of Green and Sengun, and I think Jabari is looking like he can become a great #2 guy.

If you pick outside the top 2 you just take Jarace IMO and you're set to develop the core from there and add free agents as needed to round things out.

Nba 3 pt line doesnt matter if high school kids are guarding you. They're def not at a disadvantage vs college lol

I dont see how. He literally plays our most stacked position... same goes for miller

What we "need" is a star player. Ideally a point guard or center

From a need perspective, Walker would help our defense tremendously. The only guy we have who really has elite defensive potential is Jabari. Getting a guy like Walker who can step in and immediately be a good defender in the NBA would be a huge deal for our progress next season; always having one or both of Walker & Jabari on the floor gives us some legitimate rim protection and switchability out of the frontcourt. I also think both of those guys can play the 3 and be able to switch onto guards if you want to go big, at least for now.

I agree we need a star, lead scorer. I hope Green will take the next step forward and grow into that role. If he doesn't (and we don't draft one), we may need to try to trade for one, but probably not this offseason, it would probably be during the 2024 offseason.

I like Whitmore more than Walker. If Amen develops a reliable 3 point shot, then it might be worth taking a gamble on him.

    If Amen develops a reliable 3 point shot then it's not a gamble - he's an all-star.

I also like Whitmore more than Walker. Walker is the kind of guy every team can use and I suspect he'll be a starter for most of his career, but I just don't see him being a star. We need players with star potential right now.

I wouldn't bet on a guy who shoots worse than .65 from the FT line developing a good 3 pt shot.
