I don't drink coffee and I don't use any sweetner in my tea. Used to dump tons of sugar in the big ol' glass of tea, but when I got to college, the dorm cafeteria had these really small packets of sugar that were also hard to open... so after awhile, I quit spending the ten minutes it took to get the right amount of sugar from packet to glass and just started drinking sans sugar. Developed a taste for it and now I can't stand sweet tea.
Great. I still can't stand the taste of any of them. I'll gladly trade off the whopping 45 calories per T of sugar for the enjoyment of enjoying what I'm drinking. Diffr'nt strokes & all.
At restaurants, I use Splenda...I used Equal in the past...However, if I'm a fast food place that has any brand, I'll stick some extras in my pocket so I don't have to buy any...
Splenda has the consistency of snow. My family is obsessed with Splenda. I hate that crap. Not fine enough, in my opinion. I still like the pinkies. That's what my dad always calls them at restaurants. "Throw me a pinky over here." I've grown accustomed to going for the Sweet-n-Low. I also like it because I only need one bag to sweeten my big glass of tea when I go out to eat.
But how does it suck. I cant tell the difference between any of the sweetners except that with some you have to use more packages than with others...
I use the International Delight creamer that you can get for two bucks in Walmart. I have no idea what's in it, but it makes my coffee taste like candy.
Sugar or Splenda or Sweet'n'Low but I hear Stevia is awesomeness... Btw- anything with Aspartame (formally "Nutrasweet") gives me headaches, and until I stopped using it in the late 80's, my vision had gotten worse... http://www.holisticmed.com/aspartame/
