Oh, man - Mission and Chipotle aren't even CLOSE to being as good as Freebird's. You MUST try them!

    My answer:

    bacon

Thre are many foods I find delicious, but when you thing about it, if you keep eating more and more of a food, eventually you'll get tired of it.

That said, I've never even come close to that threshold with some good bacon. It's too bad the stuff is so bad for you.

    Today it's :

Grilled Halibut, with haricot vert, sweet basil rice in mustard vinagrette.

    Vodka with ice crystals.

    Creme brulee.

That's what I'm making for dinner tonight, minus dessert, which we'll get out. Yay. If we get a sitter, I'll get some red bull with the vodka. IF we get a sitter , we go to Continental Club to see Los Phantasmas.

A really good steak is coming to mind for next week.

Try a carpetbagger steak. Freakin' awesome!

2 Filets of beef, 2 inches thick
    1 Pint fresh oysters
    Salt and fresh ground pepper

Get some gorgeous, two-inch-thick filets of beef. And a pint of fresh oysters, some fresh salt (seasalt is best) and fresh peppercorns.

Cut pockets in the steaks, almost but not quite all the way through.

Stuff the pockets with a few of the oysters, add some salt and some fresh grinds of the peppercorns.

Fasten the pockets together with toothpicks, then saute the filets in hot butter and/or oil until they're done to your taste.

Easy and amazing. I find that few people have ever encountered this -- even on the Gulf Coast, where I live, and everybody I've ever served it to has loved it. The filets take about 10 minutes on one side and 8 on the other to reach our preferred degree of doneness.

easy as hell to make, also.

(btw, this is a recipe I found just now. I typically stuff mine with a large oyster, butter and parsley, but I'm sure this is good, too.)

I had some pralines from Brennan's that were very very good. Not the best food for the belly though :)

I also like a good T-bone steak. Simple and to the point :)

    In Houston:

-I could murder a baked potato filled with BBQ from Bros.-in-law BBQ
-I am partial to the Freebird burrito...for a more managable and cheaper one I loved the steak burrito from the taqueria on Richmond La Tipitia (I am not spelling this right).
-red beans and rice from Popeye's and the Ragin Cajun

In mexican food free New Zealand (bastards!):
-chicken kebab with spicy chili, garlic yogurt and hummus
    -sushi
-pad thai...and thai food, generally...the spicier the better
    -

    Junk food:
    salsabrito and chili cheese fritos
    any brownie
    chili con queso

Basically, I'm a walking heartburn advertisement

LOL, I googled that restaurant and apparently they have restaurants in Australia. The "Aussie cheese fries" are named plainly as Cheese Chips (fries are called chips in Australia) on their .com.au website.
