Best Movie - The Country Bears!

    I am SOOO kidding....

I have to agree with Drewdog, Walken as Sgt. Toomey in Biloxi Blues was awsome.

And just like 3814, I loved his cameo story about the golden watch in Pulp Fiction.

Even though he doesn't play a huge role, my favorite movie in which he appears is Pulp Fiction.

I just saw this thread, and I can't believe nobody mentioned his scene-stealing cameo in Annie Hall!

Lots of great movies mentioned here. I'd also add that his performance in Catch Me If You Can was way underrated. He pretty much played it straight (i.e. no Walken-isms), and the performance was truly heart-wrenching.

Mine would be a toss up - Envy and Mouse Hunt. Envy is a pretty dumb movie, but the role he plays is hilarious, as well as his looks. I don't know why I like Mouse Hunt, even though he plays a small role, what he does is funny, and the movie overall is VERY funny if you have an imagination.

Yes and yes, nice calls. He was great in CMIYC, realy really good. The story about the mouse and the butter - awesome.

I tell you this because, as an artist, I think you'll understand. Sometimes when I'm driving ... on the road at night ... I see two headlights coming toward me. Fast. I have this sudden impulse to turn the wheel quickly, head-on into the oncoming car. I can anticipate the explosion. The sound of shattering glass. The ... flames rising out of the flowing gasoline.

Deer Hunter. That final Russian Roulette scene has got to be one of the most intense in film history. Whoo.

Of course he's been great in a ton of stuff. His scene in True Romance is a classic, just like his part in Pulp Fiction. Walken runs on good dialogue like a funny car runs on nitro.

I really need to see The Dead Zone. I've only ever seen the last two minutes or so. I really liked the book and you can just tell it's the sort of thing Walken would own.

He was great in Catch Me If You Can. I totally forgot. Not neccessarily heart-wrenching as much as sympathetic.

    And don't forget Woody's response:

Right. Well, I have to go now, Duane, because I'm due on the planet Earth.

Followed a couple scenes later by a brief scene of a grinning Walken driving Diane Keaton and a frightened Woody on a rainy night ...

Sarah Plain and Tall without a doubt.

His roll as Jacob, the widower with a heavy burden of a raising 2 children and his crops left me stunned at his emotional depth.
