Greg Davis even admitted in pregame interviews that it was his fault that he had been too conservative. NO **** SHERLOCK ! DD
Good article from Johnny Walker: http://texas.247sports.com/Article/Johnny-Walker-Its-time-for-a-change-3947
this is almost unanimously agreed upon by people in this state, but I just can't bring myself to give them credit because of the joke of a schedule they play. I mean, who's the toughest opponent on their schedule? freaking air force? BYU? Utah? If Texas played that schedule, they would easily run the table every year with an average margin of victory of 50. Hell, my chitty aggies would probably run the table (after all, we do beat up on the 3 cupcakes we schedule regularly for the first 3 games every year). Same goes for Boise. They play no one, they barely squeaked by a god awful VTech team. Now I understand that they've been actively trying to schedule legit opponents but the big programs are pu$$ying out, but honestly I will be royally pissed if a Boise gets in to the national championship game over say a 2 loss team from the SEC (or a 1 loss Oklahoma/Nebraska)
Utah is a hell of a lot better than UCLA and Iowa State. Texas didn't even score 40, let alone win by 50, against any of its opponents including the likes of Wyoming and Rice.
It's impossible to say who beats who when it's different conferences. But look at some of the team TCU has beaten this year...and how they've done it. Then look at some other "real" schools and how they fared. How OU barely beat airforce (TCU shut down their run game) etc..... Let's see how UT....and the Aggies fare against Baylor. will it be 45-10? As for UT this year...what Major just said. TCU can play with the big boys....it's been shown in the limited match ups they've had. But whatever....haters gonna hate.
Say what you will about TCU's schedule. If Texas played TCU they'd be embarrassed...at best. It's a sad time for us Longhorn fans. I love that t-shirt posted! WWGDD? Awesome. I need one.
Greg Davis is a very medicore OC. He isn't the main problem with this team, but i don't think he's part of the solution either. He was fortunate to have 2 QB's who could turn a broken passing play into a big gain, now that he doesn't have that his offense is strugg-a-ling. Having said that, it's not his fault that the offensive line is incapable of running the ball, they were built for a spread offense, which they don't have the QB to run right now. If Gilbert can grow into the QB we all expected than it will look good again. College fans need to learn how to accept down seasons without flipping out. Us longhorn fans have been spoiled by a decade of great QB's VY,Colt,Major, and even the much maligned Chris Simms.
UT by two touchdowns at least.. UT will be pissed. Too much pressure for Baylor as the supposed favorite. (A Dakota style prediction-- just letting my ture beliefs out and possibly subjecting myself to ridicule by the cautious.
What does that have to do with anything? Did UT beat Iowa State....UCLA? Did OU beat Missouri? Did Alabama beat SC?
No, because I forgot, I was genuinely asking. I googled it after I posted and found out TCU lost. Chill, aren't you a little defensive?
mad about what? I don't think TCU is going to the nat championship. Just another BCS bowl. I'm happy with that. Baby steps for a non AQ. It would be bad ass to be in the national championship. But TCU would need other teams to lose. Either way. Another great year of football.
