Being a 'star' doesn't have much to do with it. Someone said it earlier, party over country. In the deep south, GOP is guaranteed at least 45% and this election proves it. GOP can put up a clown and get 45%. Only question is can the GOP pick up that last 6%. It's not much more complicated than that.

    GOP is fiercely loyal.

For each of the last 250 years, conservatives genuinely believe the country is 1 year away from total collapse.

If America can survive WWII, all the assignations in the '60s, and Trump's assault on America, we can survive just about anything. Jury is still out on surviving Trump.

There isn't a single poll that shows kamala not as the overwhelming favorite to win the nomination. The way the democratic primary system is set up and how delegates are awarded its heavily favors big name candidates. As long as you get 35-40% of the vote in the primary you'll keep stacking up delegates and eventually win the ticket. This is why Hillary won in 2016 over bernie. Kamala will sweep the south and mid-west and pick up all those delegates from her African American support. The only way to stop kamala from winning is going up against her and questioning her leadership. Once you do this you'll turn off alot of folks in the current coalition that we need to defeat the gop. It's a lose lose situation.

Kamala is like trump. They can both win their primaries but have no chance in the general election. Democrats have to run biden in 24 and focus on the economy. Republicans had the most favorable environment in decades yet still lost. Dems have a winning formula and they shouldn't mess with it.

Focus on the economy and extend the student loan pause and the college kids will show up again in droves for the party. Don't mess with a winning formula.

I think the Star power adds a little extra, It's what got Trump to be taken seriously, he was not the 1st person to say what he said.

And the only reason Walker got the nod is his Star power there is no way he would have gotten the same support if he was random black guy.

I challenge you to learn English and spelling like an adult.

I would have challenged you to get a real job or raise a family but we both know those two are impossible for you. Let's stick to basic reading and writing

Also, what does "King of the 2s" even mean? I don't speak illiterate trailer park garbage so I can't comprehend your stupidity

What polls are you looking at and Kamala had the lead in the polls leading up to the last election and look how that turned out, why would she have more support now?

    Kamal is like Trump?

    WTF?

She could not get out of the primary, she dropped out before Iowa, and she did not have a strong base of support among blacks.

I meant she's like trump now if biden decides to drop out. She'll win the primary like trump will win but she's unelectable on the general stage. Kamala was never leading in any polls last time. She was hardly cracking 5% last time. Now she's easily getting 30-35%, which is the perfect number for a primary. She's on a glide path for the nomination if biden doesn't run which is exactly why he has to run.

Nobody even comes to defeating her in a primary without biden because she has the overwhelming support of the African American community. This is why biden HAS to run.

No polls mean anything this far out and her getting only 23% as a VP tells you all you need to know.

The fact that the list has Bernie and AOC tells you the list is not a serious list and they are just throwing out names.

You're not understanding the underlying picture or how primaries work. I've worked on numerous campaigns before and the only thing that matters in a primary is the base support. Kamala has the overwhelming support of the African American community in EVERY primary poll. The 23% poll that you referenced undercounted African American in their methodology if you look at the demos of the poll. In every primary poll she commands 85% of the black voter.

It doesn't matter what candidates you switch out in thst list because no other candidate will have a higher black support than she does. She'll have no competition from the African American community. Rev Jackson and others have been her biggest supporters. Have you not been paying attention? She has regular lunches with religious leaders and she's playing the game.

You may not take her seriously but she's on a glide path to win the nomination whether you like it or not. If biden doesn't run the democratic primary will be very ugly and it'll break up the coalition that dems have built up.

Kamala has no political common sense and would get slaughtered in a general. She just isn't very well liked by the average voter.

Disagree. Star power in politics is the exception, not the rule. Nearly every politician, past and present, built their career from ground up.

Trump's star power is more due to his own branding and perception of power in his early career. He then pivoted that power into stardom, rather than the other way around.

This election cycle proves being a star doesn't translate into power. Somehow, Trump couldn't see that. He feels he's transcendent and can bend the landscape around himself at will and create new stars, which clearly he cannot (any longer).

Trump burned down so many people in his orbit and ran out of sacrificial lambs. He's burned down the house and left a trail of the ashes of politicians behind him so he had to seek out new soldiers that would be willing to die in his battles.

    Enter Herschel Walker.

I have no idea why anybody would be loyal to Trump. It always ends in their own destruction.
