What is wrong with eating dogs???

I guess you're right. It isn't uncommon for chickens and pigs to be kept as pets in some places. I can't explain it then other than it's wierd. The irony is that pigs are one of the smartest animals alive.

Well after the "mad cow fiasco" we know that the USDA doesn't put their inspections up to as close up as some of us like for our food to be inspected.

Reminds of that story a couple of years ago -- don't know if it was an urban myth or whatever -- about the chicken head that was fried and ended up in someone's bucket of fried chicken or chicken nuggets.

The picture was pretty f*cking nasty. I remember showing it to one of my colleagues at work. He was an Indian guy, a vegetarian -- always was, always will be. He just shrugged and didn't understand what the big deal was -- he said in a totally non-judgemental way that to him it was all the same. Breast, thigh, wing, head, feet, beak -- they were all animal parts, and all equally nasty.

Cooking is easy. I think what you need to get is good instructions on how to properly butcher it -- especially where to find the tenderloin, which is probably the only part of your average dog that isn't tough as leather.

 

It's wrong because the US and most other countries don't do it.

I dont know if there are laws that *actually* outlaw eating dogs.
I know that te SPCA can b****-slap ya for abusing animals...but flat-out killing them for the purpose of eating??

for the record, as a dog-guy..I would NEVER do that to my own pets..not even my 13" Oscar..(and I love to eat fish)

 

Do female dogs have that most tender part, too? If not, you just increased your chances of finding it by a large margin...

 

its wrong because most people love dogs. most people don't love cows, chickens, fish etc.

you don't kill and eat things you love.

and people get offended when other people eat and kill things they love.

 

I read that dogs have souls. Other than America having a more advanced government than China, I think this is a good reason.

Plus didn't you see Pulp Fiction? Dogs have personality. That's why it's wrong. Do you eat any animals with personality? Don't tell me you eat monkeys!

 

(sigh) Actually, many Americans are muslims, and most americans do NOT have a problem with Islam. As for terrorists, yes it is legal to eat them, as outlined in the Patriot Act.

 

I think people should be allowed to eat dogs, communists....and TWINS!!

 

I like Muslims. I know Muslim people. Hakeem Olajuwon aka Greatest Center Ever is Muslim. Just because China doesn't like Falun Gong doesn't mean Americans don't like Muslims. We have freedom of religion here.
