Learn whatever the eff you wanna learn about. Google something youre interested in. It works. O and p*rn
You could consider an alternative. You know, pick up a phone and call a friend. Even more radical, get in your car and drive over to a friend's place and hang out. Do something unrelated to a computer and its use. Play a game of chess or Go, but in person, sitting across the board from each other. It's different from playing online. Better, in my humble opinion. Go play Frisbee at the park with a friend or your dog. Maybe you'll see a chick and strike up a conversation. Hell, there are endless things to do besides getting online. Some of us remember a world without the "internet," when it genesis was in use, something called ARPAnet, begun in 1969. I know people who worked on that early system, who used it. It was a way for the small number of powerful computers at different research facilities to be accessed by a larger number of researchers, people without on-site access. And few knew it existed. The vast majority of us back then did stuff, you know, outside of the world of X's and O's. Hard to believe, but true. Of course, we also used to be able to work on our own cars, and gas was 28 cents a gallon. I know, a different world. Somehow, we had fun. A lot of fun.
pleasantly surprised by everyone's suggestion. however if this was some anonymous board where anything goes it would probably be all links to p*rn sites.
I could spend hours on Wikipedia, TED, Nature/Science (the magazines), Khan Academy, MOOCs (Coursera/Udacity/edX), and Quora. Instead of doing online stuff, Google interesting things to do in Houston. Use Houston Press and Yelp. There's many cool cafes, bars, restaurants, museums, and parks scattered in the city. Get a small group of 2-3 friends who are open to trying new experiences. Focus on exploring the city with them. Then, take trips to Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, and New Orleans. Explore those cities and what they have to offer. You get the point.
This is the plan. This is the reason I cut off all social networks. I'm trying to force myself to be more social in gatherings and such. Having no facebook, twitter, instagram, and tumblr prevents me from constantly looking at my phone and forces me to actually talk to people.
