I cant honestly say I dislike much in here. If I had to name 2 things it would be: 1. The overblown rep feature. 2. Walking away a little less confident about my abs.
I think he still enjoys it though. I mean he is already on this third moniker here already. If he didn't like the attention, he probably would have already changed it by now. But anyways, the joke was overplayed by the second week. Its like stupid Jay Leno type humor.
The 3 stooges in the D&D, not because I disagree with them most of the time, but because their threads are intentionally made to annoy people. Their pattern of posting is mainly : post misleading article, bold meaningless text to be passive aggressive, leave thread when someone challenges their opinion, post new thread. Other than that, this place is the best!
the overblown in the GARM. they always got a player to hate and create lots of threads: last season rafer, now tmac. the overraction after a win: - ROCKETS NBA CHAMPIONS!! overraction after a lost: - WE ARE NOT GOING TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS, - LETS TANK ALREADY, (after the rockets lost the 1st game of the season) or what about a player: when he plays awesome: he is the mvp of the team, great deal or great draft signing. when he plays a bad game: he sucks, lets trade him, he is a cancer, the worst player on the NBA. racist posters in the GARM or Hangout (I dont go to the D&D).
Things like posting the same thing over and over again in multiple threads, italics and an overuse of smilies annoy me more than they should perhaps but options 1 and 2 are the worst.
How are you supposed to ignore something that is posted on every thread? If you think your repetitive McGrady hate and your cohort in r****ded repetitiveness leebigez with his assinine Battier for Camby trade proposal doesn't adversely affect the GARM you are mistaken. It's not whining if the readability of the GARM would be improved if you gave it a rest. But maybe I am an "Anti" attention w****- w**** with my 120 posts in 9 years.
DD is the only poster I have on my ignore list. Which saddens me a little, cause I actually like his posts outside of the GARM. But his repetitive McGrady bashing is so annoying I had to take the plunge. Sadly, I still end up seeing his posts in every GARM thread, as he's quoted on every page - each time from a different post. A seemingly endless number of times. There's only so many times I can read the EXACT same crap before I go insane.
I love DD's nonsports related posts too. But man, be it football, basketball, croquet, whatever... I don't think he has any idea what he's talking about
The attention whores and the D&D are sooo bad it's hard to pick a winner out of the two of them One might say they are the same problem.
I am in my own plane of existance......my thoughts are difficult for mortals to understand. Sigh, yet I continue to strive to make them understandable. And yeah, I do get locked into arguments with people....but it is funny how I get the blame and the ones that are always arguing with me never do. I am the anti teflon man. Oh, and when I was given a GARM timeout for my JVG and VSpan rants, the GARM was the same...nothing changed at all.....NOTHING. However, your point is taken....you should post more often. Giving you rep for honesty. DD
1) Good posters leaving, thereby turning GARM into ESPN forums-lite at times. 2) Not having enough time anymore to scroll through 50 posts of people that have nothing to say, but say it every other post to get to one or two gems. 3) Everything being turned into some partisan battle that needs a poll for some reason. 4) Having something to say, but thinking "Why? It's only going to get swallowed up by collective babbling", and not posting. 5) Finding bleedover arguments and topics from GARM and D&D in other forums. Geez, keep your crap in its proper forum - some of us are trying to escape you. 6) Finding Black Friday threads more intriguing than GARM lately. lol. But yet, I keep coming back... not as much as I used to, but I still need my Rockets info. I just care less what anyone else thinks or posts nowadays.
