In my humble, atheistic opinion (which counts for very little), the worst sin is an indifference to suffering. It's also probably one of the most common (I know I've been guilty of it).
This question could be better answered in hell (lake of fire etc.). For all who end up there try to remember this question and then ask around. By the way there are several Bible verses that describe worse conditions for those who commit worse sins. Just thought I would add that to validate the question some. For example- Matt 10:14-15; Matt 11:21-24; Heb. 10:28-29 and many others.
Not confessing them. Conquistadors and performers of the Inquisition performed all of the above, but received forgiveness from their priests. Technically, they're in Heaven.
Well, since we're using the word 'sin' and not 'crime'.... I believe that no sin is worse than another. There is no shade of gray. It's either a sin, or it's not. Now, criminally, things are totally different. -- droxford
That's why the penalty is kitten murder. According to Dante, it is betrayal, the sin commited by Satan himself, not to mention Judas. I couldn't think of anything that would hurt me more emotionally than being betrayed by those closest to me.
I think the most beautiful thing in the world is the fact that nothing can snatch a believer out of God's hand. Once you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you are eternally saved. Many philosophies regarding sin are flawed. I know Christians who say that gay believers do not go to heaven. IF anyone is truly saved they have the assurance of salvation. Ultra-conservative Christian philosophies I think do not depend on love enough [1 John 4]. Love...grace. This imo is what makes Christianity so beautiful. It is not a religion, because follwers of Christ need only to depend on grace, and not on works. Okay sorry, I guess that was my sermon for the day. Preach love!
Now, what are commodities? Commodities are agricultural products, like coffee that you had for breakfast, wheat, which is used to make bread, pork bellies, which is used to make bacon, which you might find in a bacon and lettuce and tomato sandwich.
Well, do most of you think that masturbation is a sin? I am a Muslim and to be honest, I am not certain as to what my faith says with respect to this. I have read religious scholars with differing opinions on this.
Theologically speaking... Of the ones you listed; God forgives them all. But *man* does not. Man, judges each of them differently (laws of the land) with different punishments (except for Suicide obviously -- man can't punish someone that's already dead!). The worst sin a person could commit is: Rejection of God (pride of man is part of that). But if you took a snap shot in time, and a person had made their mind up that God didn't exist, nor His word. Then, theologically, that's the worst. Yes, they can change their mind later. But you better not wait too late! Continued blasphemy could be viewed as rejection of the gospels. But to me, that's just the same as continued sins. Rejection of God is the ultimate, IMHO. If you are an atheist and don't belive in an existence of a God, creator or His word. Then, that's just pride of man. No one knows completely. But that's what faith is all about.
you think pride is worse then those three(not including suicide, because i do not consider it a sin, who is the person hurting with it)? Why? IMHO child Molestation is the worst thing you can do. people who do that are just sick.
