I don't know, my vote goes to no_answer. Man, THAT is a creepy story...

After my Grandmother died, my Dad told me that one day he got a call on his cellphone. This was in the early days of cellphones, so he only had it for an emergency. I think it was a pay-as-you-go type deal. He never gave the number to anyone, not even us.

So, anyway, he got a call one day and the ringtone was a ringtone that he didn't recognize...like one that wasn't even programmed on the phone. The caller ID was blank. He answered it, and a voice said "[his name], COME HOME!!" He insisted that the voice sounded just like my Grandmother.

He got this call several more times over the next few weeks. Checked with the phone company, they didn't show any incoming calls at that time....

About a month later, he went to his high school reunion in the town she lived in. Of course while he was there, he visted her grave and put a big bouquet of flowers on it. He said he never got any more calls after that.....

    TRUE STORY.

Now the two weirdest stories I have ever heard of are the following.

    1. My sister lives alone with her 3 children. One night, at about 2 in the morning, she calls me all freaked out asking me to rush over. I'm pissed because I think she has just found another spider or something and she is just afraid to take care of it herself. I end up going over there and let myself in but I don't see anything and I find her under the covers in her bed with her 2 little girls. I tell her I am here and she comes out then tells me what spooked her. She says she woke up and there was the person-shaped glowing figure floating over one of her girls, who were sleeping in the same bed with her. She said she thought it was a dream and tried to go back to sleep but when she opened her eyes again it was still there and that's when she rushed under the covers to call me and that's where I found her. I still don't know whether it was a dream or real but from that day on she swears it was and she even moved OUT OF THE CITY because of it.

    2. My girlfriend's cousin's husband had an episode when he was a child. He did not tell me about this but his wife did as he does not like to bring the story up or talk about it at all, she actually found out from his parents. Anyway, he was about 6-7 years old and after waking up one morning he starts to tell his parents about a woman that was in his room last night that kept him up talking to him. The parents are kind of shocked but ask him to explain what she talked about and what she looked like. He said he couldn't really remember what was talked about but when he described the way she looked the parents got this shocked-mystified-horrified look on their faces. The woman he described was his father's mother who had died before he was even born. Like I said, he still doesn't like to talk about it.

    Ouija Board story.

These things are freaky and I won't allow them in my house.

My ex-girlfriend and I used to live in League City right next to the Killing Field, a place where they found tons of dumped bodies, presumably from one of the active serial killers in Houston.

One night my ex-gf (we'll call her C from here on out) brings home a Ouija Board and we decide to try it out. She sets the mood with some candles and we sit down and put our fingertips on the pointer. It immediately starts to whip around in a figure 8 at an insane speed. It felt like it was moving on it's own. I know what you're thinking- C was moving it, but there's no way that she was moving it like that with just the tips of her fingers touching it. It was going super fast.

Anyway, we ask it generic questions, like 'is there anyone there' and it starts to spell out k-i-l-l-y-o-u over and over, super fast. After a couple of minutes of this, I took the board out to the trash. It was the scariest thing I've ever seen in my life (until I was almost shot a few years later).

I'm not sure if where I lived had anything to do with it, but if any place was going to have some evil feelings going on, it was this place.

weird experience was in Paris and we are walking around a courtyard. I heard some lound hammering and saw some guys with sledgehammers out the corner of my eye. I thought it was no big deal because it was the middle of the day. I looked over again and then see one of the guys reach into a whole they knocked in the window and grab something. It all seems odd but my brain just isnt computing it all fast enough.

Then the 2 guys start to run away and come within about 10 feet of me. I watch them run off through a door and then turn back around to where they came from (i.e. a jewelry store window). By then the alarm is going off, the steel gates are closing on the windows and a security guy comes running out.

I was like "huh"..."did they just rob a jewelry store". Wish I had been more on top of it and realized it quicker...i could have totally close lined one of the guys.

I have one incident that I have never been able to figure out....

One of the nicknames I've been called over the years is Tom Deadly (which makes sense if you know my actual last name), and after hearing it for the umpteenth time, I started joking that Tom Deadly was my professional killer/hit man alter-ego.

A few years ago, I'm driving home from work and my cell phone buzzes. I don't recognize the number, but answer the phone anyways. A weird electronic sounding voice (like one of those old Speak and Spells) begins "Hello Tom Deadly. We have a mission for you. Please press 1 if you wish to accept."

I didn't press 1, but I stayed on the line for a few minutes waiting to hear someone crack up (I suspected it was my friend Thadeus - yes, the same one that's here on the BBS). But there was nothing, so I eventually hung up (I didn't want to push 1, as I had heard there was some kind of cell phone virus going around at the time).

I later talked to several of my friends, and none of them admitted to making this call. So I don't know what was going on.....

The creepiest part of this story is that you actually KNOW the thadeus. ;)

There used to be a website that you could put a phone number in and type a sentence and it would call that # and an electronic voice would say whatever you typed in. I think someone posted it here and I got LOTS of use out of it. I don’t think it’s up anymore though.

This one time, I was driving through a tunnel in New York, and this SUV was attached to the ceiling of the tunnel--looked like it was hovering above the road. I was driving pretty fast, so I didn't have time to stop, and as I approached it, it fell to the ground. Luckily I wasn't under it and got through there untouched.

Oh, almost forgot, I was playing GTAIV.

I'm a bit of a freak magnet, but when I was in high school, I had an acquaintance who went absolutely off the rails crazy senior year. He thought there was a demon living behind his house, who was going to steal his soul. It wasn't hell raiser scary. The guy was really cheesy, so it came off like a bad b-move demon. We all thought it was kind of funny and sad at first. Of course this was before he started thinking we were working with the demon. He'd show up at our houses in the middle of the night and case around them to make sure we were ok. Then he eventually thought we were in league with said demon and tried to run us off the road in his car (which fortunately had a bad muffler so you could hear him from 3 miles away). He also thought he had a child in West Virginia whom he had never seen but could communicate with telepathically. Really.....weird guy.

Other memorables: I got rear-ended by a doctor on Braeswood, and we were exchanging info. This 5 foot big mama gets out of her car and starts calling the Doc a "MFing Maniac"...repeatedly. That dude looked completely scared. I asked her if she'd testify, and she stopped muttering to herself and proclaimed. "Hell yeah, I'll testify. You hear that, MFer, I'm going to testify against you. Driving like a MFing maniac." That's my favorite car wreck storym, but the whole thing was surreal.

I got spat on and hit by a crazy lady in the London underground and had to have the cops take her in.

I had a weird conversation with a dude in a laundromat in Munich. He could only speak about 12 words of English, but they were all about the Apocalypse. He kept trying to name the arch angels, which I was able to help him complete due to my knowledge of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He also pocked some underwear that somebody had left behind, commenting to us that it was good quality.

Visible musical notes floating out from speakers, walls gently oscillating like a bowl of jello, pure energy visible through the veins of your hand, glowing and pulsating auras surrounding everyone in the room, a brief connection to the cosmic consciousness, was it god? not sure, face melting in the reflection of a mirror, hearing color, seeing music...

I may have just induced a flashback

I was in Ocala Florida a few years ago and decided to go to a late night movie after one of my shows. It was mid-week and the only movie available that time of the night was "Match Point" with Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Scarlett Johannsen. I got in the theater and was the only person there except for an older couple sitting way up top in the theater, I remember the lady glancing at me with a semi-smile. I watched the movie in it's entirety without leaving or having seen anyone leave the theater. When the movie was over, I looked around and the couple was gone. I asked an employee if they had seen the couple leave, and they hadn't seen anyone with that description come or go.
