haha that was just the image that came to mind. He coached his system. He was concerned with winning games, not molding an identity. and the Cubs (loveable losers) and the Sox (what curse?) and the Oilers (walking fiasco) marketing departments do this, not coaches.
It is a toss up between vanilla ice cream, hot water with lemon, white bread, rice cakes, and parsley.
I know it's a joke, but even though they lose to the Colts, they've played them VERY tough the past few years.
Don't remind me...Texans still suck in the red zone, No competent RB since a healthy Domanick Davis, defense showing no signs of improvement despite getting young talent, etc. With the one win being the same year they won the Super Bowl.
that's EXACTLY what I think of when I think of this 2009 edition of the Texans. that will define the season for me, barring some improbable playoff run.
Honest question; Do you even watch Texans games? I can't help but get the impression that you don't, since you're so outwardly "not a fan". If so, I think it would help explain a lot of your completely warped thoughts and views on football and the Texans in general.
Obviously my view is biased. But in all honesty, they are a team that I expect to find new ways to lose each and every game. They have the talent in place, but don't ever seem to be able to put it together. I predicted at the beginning of the season, based on their schedule, they would start out strong, have the city behind them and then choke as usual. If its not injuries, its bone-headed plays, or bad coaching decisions. They shoot themselves in the foot over and over again.
you do realize the irony of that particular criticism coming from an Oilers/Titans fan, right?
Yup, but at least theres been "some" satisfaction as an Oiler/Titan fan. We havent won the superbowl yet, but weve at least made it to the playoffs and even 1 superbowl. Hell look at this year, starting out 0-6, but still have a chance at making the playoffs entering week 13.
The Texans are wasting 12-4 talent. Any of the super bowl winning coaches that are sitting out there would have this group 7-4 or 8-3 AT WORST
I say 10-6/11-5 but yeah, the talent level on this team should be in play-off contention, and on a normal year for Indy, coming down to the wire for the division.
