If everything goes right the Rockets make the playoffs.

They likely won't have what it takes to take out a top 4 seed yet.

But it will be nice for them to maybe make it a series and get the experience.

    I mean...

If *everything* goes right the outcome is a chip.

If EVERYTHING goes right, we are 96-0. Would be fun.

Most likely outcome is a 7-10 seed. Lose in play in games or 1st round.
And that would be a pretty good next step for this young group.

Usually everything goes right in one or two games than in 96 games.......

but I would guess the players, coaches, managers, staff, and fans would have the utmost fun.

As far as Im concerned, "everything going right" means dealing for Booker too.

What timeframe are you talking about?

We're just young...loaded with high end talent and serious assets.

Assuming health, and smart moves I'm expecting a a nice, long window starting in a couple of years.

If JG is consistently shooting league average and nothing else changes much (beyond the additions of Tari back to the rotation as well as Reed and Steven Adams), the Rockets are a 6-8 seed. Of course I would hope the other guys also continue to step it up as well.

Another 10 wins at least. 15 wouldn't surprise me. Definitely in the playoffs. They're about to lift off.

Call it as i see it......post here like I'm a consultant to Rockets management or owner.

SPACING..... 3-POINT SHOOTING has been the main ingredient missing over the last 3 seasons.
Top 10 defense got us close; but still missing the playoffs.

Addressing spacing issue: Reed Sheppard, A.J. Griffin, Jack McVeigh (not sure Griffin makes the team)

Key to this season is Sengun - Green sharing the floor and coexisting.
Sengun shooting 4 to 5 threes per game, with confidence is huge.

If the Rockets have this Sengun.......finals can be possible.

'Everything goes right' is a very broad term. And part of having everything go right for you is, unfortunately, having things not go right for other teams. Teams that are better than you but have one or two of their main players injured for most of the season, so you are higher in the rankings. Players on other teams demanding trades or having uncharacteristically bad performances or bad chemistry. In the playoffs, having injuries on the other team or just some unusually large matchup advantage against that specific team.

Over a normal season, nothing will ever always go right. That's part of what makes it fun to watch. But I like the direction our team is building. The Western Conference is, as usual, stacked. My realistic/optimistic self is guessing we make the first round of the playoffs, but if more things go right than not, perhaps even the second round.

Perfectly said, if I wanted Perfection I wouldn't follow sports.

Close to it and you are winning it all.

I always compare us to OKC. No one predicted they finish as 1st or 2nd seed. The previous season no one predicted they would easily make the playoffs. We're just like them but a year later. We're also very similar to Orlando but we're in a tougher conference than them so they will probably finish higher.

If everything goes well AND Green has a good first round series, then I think this team can shock the world and make the 2nd round.

    ..... if everything goes right?

At the end of the season there will be a parade, with firetrucks, confetti and live music! :)

    Added bonus:
The JHaters and the JHuggers will end the feud in the jubilant pandemonium!

I am kind of surprised that first round gets 20 votes(most as of now). So, these people think our average outcome now is play-in or below, because everything will not go right for sure. I see 6-7th seed as a normal outcome for this season. It will be a disappointment if we are 8th or below.

People are concerned about how ridiculously stacked the West is but I also think the manner in which ithe West is stacked is deceptive because many of these teams are on their last legs with aging vet stars like the Suns, Warriors, Lakers being the main ones.
