What is the best place for Baja-Mex, or "true" mexican food?

Take her to Del Sol on 45 South and Park Place.

Best Gorditas in town.

They even have a JVG autographed pic posted up a long with other celebrities which I assume have eaten there.

It may not be the nicest place but it is pretty mexican.

 

Cafe Red Onion has "Latin Fusion". I've been there. It's not Tex-Mex and it's not even Mexican, but misc. Latin American. Check out the menu:

This place isn't Mexican, but The Hobbit Cafe has great fish tacos. And Amazon Grill is pretty good, too, and kind of reasonably priced. They also have good fish tacos. Though neither is really Baja-Mex that I know of.

Baja-Mex sucks! Best Mexican or Tex-Mex, I'd go to La Mexicana or El Tiempo or Taco Laredo.

 

Tell me what is good about La Mexicana, please! That place is terrible. Bad food, bad service. I don't get why people go there.

 

Berryhill advertises itself as having "Baha" fish tacos. Montrose Sunday Brunch.

 

Are you hispanic? If not, then I see why don't like it. It's actually Mexican food, not Tex-Mex. Caldo de Pollo is excellent. Also, I like the fajita enchiladas. Tamales are amazing! And their brunch is spectacular. Service isn't bad, it's great! I went there last week and enjoyed it as usual.
