What is the best NBA console game?

They kinda look like paper dolls, or that NWO Lebron video where it's their heads attached to different bodies.

 

I'm glad this thread popped up. I'll probably be looking to get back into an NBA console game this year. The last one I played was NBA Live 09 back when all I had was a PS2. Before that, I hadn't played an NBA game in two or three years and the gameplay on 09 almost felt like it had taken a step back.
