Are you serious? I'd like to see Skip make 7 three pointers in one game during the NBA Finals. Unless Skip hits a game tying three pointer to send Game 1 of the Finals into overtime, Kenny Smiths owns him.

No love for Clarence Weatherspoon?!?! The big man that changed our franchise and rocketed us to the playoffs after half a decade of drought!

What about Charlie Ward and his clutch football passes that he made to Yao?

That one epic april fools Ewing signing was great too.

I think Mario Elle was a free agent. He is probably the Rockets best free agent in the last 25 years.

Free Agency usually sucks because the current team is almost always the ones that can offer the most money. Its hard to get good talent when thats the case. Also, the structure is so bad now that almost no one has the cap room to sign a big name. You pretty much have to be lucky and not a good team to win in free agency.

Nope. Got him for a 2nd round pick year before the first championship.

Kevin Willis was really good for us -- we probably wouldn't have pulled the trigger on the Barkley trade if we didn't know we could get him to replace the lost depth.

No love for the much lauded Brent Price signing? Or Antoine Carr?

It was a sign-in-trade to help Houston get Pippen since we couldn't sign him straight up (due to salary cap rules). Effectively a free agent signing.

Barkley was a trade - a very costly one.

Sign and Trade deals should be considered free agent signings.

Man,I was unhappy to see Carr get hurt. We could have used his toughness and mid-range J.

Players don't wait to become FA's to want to come here.

The significance of that is that they don't care about the variance in their pay, they care about the place.

The best way to build is through drafts and trades IMO and I'm glad the Rockets have done that.

I think it's false to say people don't want to play here.
