Worst I've ever been in is Montego Bay. Power went out and it was absolute hell.

Austin is great as long as you're there before 7 pm. After that, most of the food places close. There's a great selection of food, though (Salt Lick, Schlotzsky's, Earl Campbell's sausage, etc.)

Except when he is washing his junk in the sink. ;)

Just to add another airport to the crappy airport list. Tapei. I was transferring through there and had an 8 hour layover. They put me in a windowless room with the AC turned down to what felt like 50 and kept me and other transfer passengers there. We couldn't leave and while we were given a meal other than that the only food available was a meager selection of crappy Taiwanese snacks.

I hear you but fly through IAH and have to clear customs and I think you would change your mind.

Anyone ever connected through Long Beach? That place is a total dump. It's basically 4 gates, no jetways, 1 tv, and one crappy sandwich stand. The old one-story terminal in San Jose (Frontier, Jet Blue, etc) is my runner up.

The airport in Lagos, Nigeria has to be BY FAR the absolute worst. Remember what your middle school gym locker room smelt like? Yeah step foot into that airport and you will get an instant drift. Not only does it smell but the humidity inside the airport almost made me pass out. Oh yeah and since the AC was broke (or maybe they just didn't operate one) they had these huge fans blowing hot & musty air all over the place. Makes me sick just thinking about it. Definitely do NOT want to get stuck there.

That is why I was asking. Bush is a Continental Hub, both the E and C terminals are fantastic. I don't think I have ever flown out of another terminal there.

A,B and D are subpar. D is terrible for an international terminal. C is ok but still not where it should be.

E is the only terminal where you feel like you're in a modern airport. Every other terminal feels like its straight out of the 80s and 90s.

    Good:
Amsterdam (tons of options and ice cold, fresh Heineken)
    Austin (good food)
    Vegas (duh)
    Denver (true psychedelic jungle)

    Bad:
    Oakland (nothing to do)
    Malpensa/Milan (horrible...my least favorite)
SFO (it was under construction the last 4 times I was there)

I've been stuck in Tokyo for quite some time and I found it pretty entertaining for the most part. Plenty of cool electronic stores to browse through, good food, and the coolest part was the rentable showers/hourly hotel rooms (I know, it sounds weird and unsanitary, but they're actually very clean).

A friend of mine described Heathrow as being like a bunch of hamster tubes they make you run through.

Domestically, I vote for Minneapolis as the best as well.

Miami is my least favorite. Last time I was stuck there, myself and another passenger watched as rats ran in between two gate agent stands. We counted over a dozen rats in 2 hours.

Internationally, Tegucigalpa International is my least favorite followed by Panama City.

I can't really complain about the only 2 airports I've spent extended time in(ATL & Denver).
