    Good: SIN, ICN, ZRH, MUC

Terrible: e.g. CCS, LGA, EWR, LHR, CMB, HRG (this one actually beyond terrible)

Obviously it also depends on the class you fly in and the status you have. E.g., FRA is a rather chaotic airport, but if you have access to the LH first class terminal, you probably don't even want to go on your flight and just stay.

    Shanghai in China sucks ass.

    Toronto is pretty crappy too.

    Most airports are terrible, honestly.

I know this is a Houston based forum but I avoid IAH at all costs. It is a terrible airport.

I don't mind being stuck in DFW too much. Plenty to see and do and if I am on the way home, I am not stuck. Close enough to rent a car and drive.

Airports should have more to do, so I don't necessarily prefer any airport to be stuck in. Good food and large explorable terminals usually make for a decent experience.

Slandballa, Toronto is getting a train connection in a few years, so don't hate. But I agree about the food, it is quite a poor selection.

Wifi should be free in every airport...anyone that does provide this service would stand out in my opinion.

Dubai's airport was nice when I first went back in 2001. Now it's just gross...people who haven't showered for weeks lying everywhere.

Austin's airport is pretty nice. IAH is one of the better ones in the US too, IMO.

The food is by far the worst at Pearson (Toronto). The domestic terminal there is actually really nice, but it's mainly the international terminals I'm talking about. Molson's bar food and TGI Friday's were pretty much the only options. The other international terminal (with Continental) only has that gross club sandwich place.

True, DXB is a mess now. I try to quickly go to the airport hotel or a lounge to avoid the masses there.

CDG is terrible, too. FCO is also bad. MXP as well. CPH is nice.

I was in Dubai a couple of weeks ago. I found it pretty unbearable but I guess mainly because I did fly EK Economy and had zero space on the plane and was exhausted. It is basically a huge, somewhat run-down shopping mall with some gates attached to it.

Any airport that has the continental presidents club is fine with me...eat, watch tv, sit in a comfy chair, and browse the internet. Pretty much just like being home.

That reminds me, I think SkyTrain is now connected to YVR. Can't wait to use it next time.

I have to disagree with this. I fly quite a bit domestically, and IAH is far from the worst, in fact, I put it above average, especially for how large and how much traffic it gets. You want bad? Try Newark.

I've only flown into Vancouver twice (and that was from Toronto). It's a lot cheaper for us Americans to fly to Seattle and drive up there.

I actually like IAH a lot. It's got a very international feel to it (even compared to O'Hare) because of all the flight going to Mexico/Central/South America.

I don't travel much, but I went there a couple years ago and liked that airport.

If I am stuck overnight in an domestic airport, I sure as hell don't stick around in the airport. I get a cab/rental car and find a place to eat or go sightseeing. If it's a foreign country then you are out of luck usually. Best foreign airport is Changi in Singapore I felt. I hate the airport in Frankfurt. The airport in San Juan, PR has alot of variety in places to eat.

DFW is a really nice one to be stranded at...Seattle wasn't too bad...I guess Vegas would be ok too...lots to do...

I've been stuck in Houston, but i was in the Continental club so it wasn't so bad...Chattanooga has a pretty crappy airport as does Birmingham...got stuck in Memphis and that was even crapier...f'n Delta...

I think you are talking about concourses as the Humphrey terminal isn't in walking distance of the main terminal. Also how nice the airport is depends on which concourse you are in. Concourse A and G are very nice but the middle ones not so great. Like you said though you can walk to different concourses.

Just watch out for Larry Craig taking a wide stance in the men's room. ;)

Sounds like quite a few Clutchfans have been flying Northwest, now Delta. The LRT runs from the airport to the Mall of America and to Downtown so if you have a long layover it is pretty easy to head out of the airport.

I will extend an invitation for any Clutchfans with a long layover at MSP. i live three blocks away from an LRT stop and my neighborhood has a few good bars, including a couple right by the LRT stop. I will be happy to meet them for a beer and talk Rockets if you are looking to get away from the airport.
