The fact that Dallas averages over 10 shots more per game (while dead last in ORebs) does tend to support this and to support the case that they get into whatever offense they use more quickly than the Rockets do their offense. The Mavs and Rox play 6 games from now. I'm going to put my VCR to good use to note possible comparisons!
heypartner- You're right about Webber and Divac playing a high post game, I was actually evaluating what I saw in last year's playoffs. I watched as Bibby really raised his game, and I noticed he took alot more responsibilty to pressure his man offensively. He definately looked for his points but he played within the offense working over matchups and defensive errors. The topic is offensive strategy and when a point guard is playing real well, like Bibby or Nash and they can execute the offense it puts tremedous pressure on the defense because these guys can also beat their man and score. This is what I hope Steve gets: A good offensive strategy Crisp execution as our point guard And opportunities to cause the defense to leave him overmatched against whoever is trying to guard him. I still believe our current strategy by Rudy's design relies too much on Steve scoring, breaking down the defense by himself etc. This is slightly desparation mode to win and make the play-offs. If Les told Rudy do not worry one bit about attendance or playoffs this year, take the year to develop the foundations of our offense... I would hope Rudy would emphasize a more team approach that involves giving everone more touches and more opportunity to develop strengths. Rudy does not have this luxury,, so his strategy remains Keep Steve and Cutino healthy and hot, Pray that MoT will bring a consistant 3rd option. Hope that Cato continues to work hard all year long. Wish that Yao learns some NBA defense. Believe that Eddie will keep improving. Get what's expected out of KT and Rice

damn macbeth u hit on it on rite on the head. Im sick and tired of iso......what did that do for us last year? Iso is not the way to win games esp. if u have talent like we do. Rudy is the coach, the leader of this team......He has the motion offense which i see for the first 5 min. of the game when we have our 15-5 leads. then afta the time out its back to jackin up 3's w/ 2 seconds left on the shot clock. Moochie and cat are the worst, but at least cat hits some of em so ill give him that. Rudy needs to take control of this team. Steve is too young for it to be his team. Eventually it will but not yet. This is Rudy's team and he needs to start implementing and showing that. Is it just me or do the Rocks always stink in the 3rd quarter? Some motivational speaker Rudy is at halftime huh? This team is so chaotic......we break off so many plays all the time.....jeez, Maybe it'll come in time. The Rocks are so talented and I hate to see it go to waste. Cmon Rudy, stick w/ the plans man.
